Where / when to get a deal on mens suits

I was wondering if you guys had any good idea about when / where the best place is to buy a nice suit? My husband has a suit, but he needs a new one. Any tips? I just want a deal.

Watch for sales at Jos. A Bank. Very good quality and they've been running some smokin' deals.

My DH loves Jos Banks too but just in case you need it before they run a great deal - their prices can still be high then

try Kohls - my DH has gotten some nice ones there

Yup! We are Canadian, but border shop, as our prices here are ridiculous.

Here is a comparison:

Just purchased a Ralph Lauren wool suit for $160.ish on Sunday at Kohl's. Plus, I had a coupon for an additional 15% off.

Here in Canada, same suit is close to $500.00! Hubby is a bank manager, so he wears suits everyday.

Saks off 5th Ave has great deals. My dad just got 3 suits for a great price.

dh wears suits every day and i can sometimes get great deals at Kohl's...i bought him a $220 RL suit coat the other day for $44. I got him another $220 jacket for $88. Matching slacks were $28.

Believe it or not, KOHLS! My husband wears suits everyday and this is now the only place he buys them. They are separates, so you can buy the size pants you need and the size jacket you need = no tailoring. Tha frequent 30% codes for cc holders makes them a really great deal. Hope this helps.

My husband loves Brooks Brothers. He got 2 suits there last year for $480. Great deal on a suit that should last him many years. His Jos. A Bank suit, he says, is too thin and the wind cuts right though it. He has also gotten some decent ones from JC Penny for around $200.

If you hit Dillards right, you can find some great deals on suits! My dad is a major clothes snob (major!), and only buys the nicest of the nice suits, clothes, ties, and shoes...but he waits until they are a bargain. Dillards recently had a sale of an additional 40% off of clearance prices, and he was able to get 3 new Hart Shaffner Marx suits and 1 new Hickey Freeman suit for between $700-800 total. The Hickey Freeman suit alone was originally priced almost $1400! You really just have to hit it at the right time.

I agree. They also have nice suits for boys, I just got one yesterday for DS9. Very nice black suit with alterations for slightly less than $100. Yesterday, was April 11th and the suit will be ready on the 27th )I could have had it a few days earlier but, I didn't need it before then). Two year ago we got DS's communion suit from Burlington and again it cost less than $100 for the suit and alterations, they did an excellent job with alterations.
