Where were you on July 4, 1976 for the Bicentennial?

I was only four months old, and was in East Lansing, Michigan on my first road trip to go see my Aunt Eva...

I was in Philadelphia celebrating with everyone else there!

I was 18 months old!! I asked my parents and they said we attended a picnic at my aunts-- guess I don't remember much about it!

I had just graduated from High School. I was watching the Tall Ship Celebration in New York harbor on TV from my home in Satellite Beach, Florida.

We were on top of a building in NY watching Operation sail and then the fireworks. A great day!

I was still 8 years in the making, so I can't say I remember it! :teeth:

I was in my mother's womb still... I was born exactly 7 months later though :)

I was probably at home. I was 4. I do remember having a shirt that had 76 written over and over in red & blue. I assume I was wearing it that summer. ;)

I was 9 years old and standing outside our house waiting for Paul Revere to run down our street. Our small town had a horse and rider dressed up as Paul Revere running through all the streets. To this day I still say he went by to fast. LOL

I wasn't born yet...didn't arrive until October 1978...but my DH would have been 3 months old. :)

At a big party with my family. I remember seeing my great-grandparents there. I was 4.

I was the high school rep for our town's bicentennial celebration, so I got to help plan the parade and the activities at the Park!!

Now can someone help me remember the commercials that ran? They were public service annoucements on what NOT to do in lighting a grill - adding more fuel when you dont see a flame? The guy had a name and it wasnt Johnny Tremain!! We use to lol and when anyone did anything 'dumb' we'd call him by the commercial guys name...

I suffer from CRS (ie > Cant Remember Stuff!!)

I had just fallen in love earlier in the summer so to tell you the truth, I'm not sure where I was. My true love had gone back home for the summer (from college) and so had I. I probably just went to see local fireworks with my family.

I was 8 years old and I remember watching the Hee Haw Bicentennial Special on TV.

 princess: ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

I was pregnant with our second child. He arrived 2 months and 8 days later(3 weeks early). We had a picnic in our backyard for our families including our 1st son(2 years and 10 months old).Later we went to a neighboring town to see the fireworks. That was a nice day.::yes::

WDWLover: My dh used to play Winnie The Pooh way back then too when he worked at Sears!!!

I think I had just gotten back from my first trip to WDW and we went to the local fireworks show.

I was with a group of 10 friends on an old ship dock off of the Jersey City, N. J. waterfront. We were with hundreds of other people..watching the big ships of Opsail 1976…it was hot but we had two big coolers of ice cold beer. We made a lot of new friends that day. ;)

For the July 4th fireworks we went back down to the water front.

I will be watching the Macy’s fireworks from my house tonight..just like old times..they moved one of the fireworks barges back over to the Jersey side by the Statue of Liberty. (maybe my wife will let my have one beer for old times sake)

I was in Disneyland...my first time visiting a Disney theme park! The America on Parade was terrific and the patriotism was phenomenal-it permeated everything in the MK.
