Where Were You Disboard Members?

My family and I arrived at the Caribbean Beach Resort on the afternoon of May 31, 2007 and didn't check out until 11:00 a.m. on June 9, 2007.

Before leaving home, I took four Lime Green Mickey heads and wrote my Disboard member name on one, my name on another, my husband's name on another and my son's name on the fourth one.

We started unpacking our stuff as soon as we arrived and one of the first things I did was tape our Lime Green Mickey heads in the window.

I also made a Mickeystoontown Lime Green Mickey backpack tag. I tied it with a bright lime green ribbon to the backpack. I toted the backpack around with me everywhere.

While at the resort, I made a point of looking at the resort windows and doors to see if there were any other Lime Green Mickey heads.

While in the parks and at Downtown Disney, I made a point of looking for Lime Green Mickey heads.

I spotted NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH, GOOSE EGG, ZERO!!!!!!!

Where was everybody?

I have never worn a line green ribbon but I have checked for them. I would guess the number of DIS'ers is a very small percent of the people who stay at the WDW resorts and only a small percent of those wear or show any line green anything. As a matter of fact, when on the Members Cruise this last year, most of the people we ran into onboard had never heard of the DIS boards..smjj

I wear a lime green shirt with the DIS in big letters on the back to the parks and not once has anyone stopped me.

Where do I get the lime green Mickey heads?? I would love to have these to put in my window this year.

I'm ready this year, I bought a tee-shirt and fanny pak for my upcoming trip in August. Hope I see someone!!!!

You get the Lime Green Mickey heads at Home Depot stores. They are the paint sample cards in the paint department.

I truly thought that I would see another Disboard member while there. I guess I had just pumped myself up too much!

Great! Next time I'm there I'll grab some. I know the Home Depot sells their paint but I never bothered to actually look at the samples. Didn't realize they were Mickey heads

I even bought a lime green Baggallini for our last trip and the whole time, I only saw ONE other one. And it wasn't even lime green; it was Cinderella blue!

However, on our first trip in '05, at a breakfast at 1900 Park Fair, there was an entire family (Mom, Dad, 3 or so kids) proudly displaying lime green shirts and Mickey heads. My husband would sooner drop dead......

Several years ago someone noticed my ribbon when we were at Epcot. It was small and tied to my waist pack. That would be the ribbon was small, not my waist...
We had a nice chat on the boat to the Boardwalk.

Okay, so I need to be updated. I'm supposed to wear a lime green ribbon? Please tell me what I need to do so fellow members notice me.

We have lime green shirts with our screen names embroidered on them & the DIS logo.
We also do the LGMHPC or other bits of lime green clothing.
Oh, & I wear lime green Crocs!
Not all clothing & bits at one time, but usually at least one thing.

Yes! we have met DISers in the parks! especially during the Mousefest season!

So keep wearing the limey, it will happen!
