Hi everyone! I'm so sad we're home -- and there's so much we didn't do! I want to go back tomorrow. Aw heck. I could still get a flight out tonight, couldn't I?

Here's the low-down on what we thought of the restaurants around Disney, just our opinions.

Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace Breakfast for the twins' 2nd bday. This was fantastic. SO well worth the money. The puffed french toast was the best part! I wish we could have gone there again. We made PS for 8:10am and had a great start to our day, then got to ride Dumbo 3 times with no waiting. Was perfect. We'll do that each time we're there again.

Tomorrowland, we ate at Cosmic Ray's - the burgers were great and the chicken fingers were awesome. The topping bar was phenomenal with the sauteed mushrooms and onions. DH and I split a double cheeseburger and it was more than enough.

I had a S'more from a sweet shoppe outside of Adventure land. I can't remember the name of the place. Wasn't terribly impressed - for the $4+ I spent on it. Youch!

Dole whip - I probably won't get this again. The ice cream tasted funny to me. WHo knows?

Mickey bars, they're just heaven.

Epcot: Japan was great - we had the sampler platter with the teryaki chicken, the beef thing and the tempura shrimp. DH got the sushi and loved it. We'll definitely go back there again.

Counter service at the United States - the service was awesome, the CM's brought out ice cream and cookies for the twins when they heard it was their bdays. It was so nice. The food was decent, nothing special, but oh heavens that Nestle cookie... I'll go back for some more of those!

We had fish and chips in England. These were awesome- not too much batter and very good. The chips were good too. Next time I think we'll do R&C in time for Illuminations. That would be the best!

We ate at the Garden Grille one night for dinner. This was nice. I thought it would be more than what it was, but the food was good and hot and the characters had great interaction with the kids.

The Cool Station pops left quite a bit to be desired - as two of the machines spurted pop out onto my light pink shirt. I was not at all pleased with this.

The Mickey bars were awesome at Epcot. :)

Disney MGM, the Sci-Fi Drive in theatre was SO fun!!! The food was good and it was definitely a must-see when you're there. We would definitely do that again, despite the reviews we had heard from other people. The ambiance alone was worth it! DH and I split a burger and fries and he had the blue cheese salad. He liked it alot.

The Brown Derby was our biggest disappointment by far. I was expecting to be blown away. Instead, we got lousy service, a well-done filet when we ordered it mid-rare, the cobb salad was sooooo different than what I had thought it was going to be (picture a 7-layer salad at a pot luck that has sat out all day long in 80 degree heat.) Bleck. My friend's chicken had a very funny smell to it - like a weird gamey smell. I expected MUCH more. We won't be going back there again.

Have I mentioned that the Mickey bars were excellent in Disney MGM? :) hahaha

Animal Kingdom - we went to Tusker's and did the lunch meal deal. This was a fantastic deal. I wasn't pleased with my turkey wrap only because I didn't like the seasoning. I would imagine most people would love it, and the portion size was huge! DH had a chicken salad that he really enjoyed. FOr me, the biggest hit was the kids' mac n cheese. They didnt' eat a thing but I loved it!

Oh, and the Mickey bars at the Animal Kingdom were great. :)

Back at the resort, we ate at Beaches and Cream a few times. Wonderful food, wonderful service. The chocolate milkshake was to die for. Yummmmmmmy! The vouchers were such a great deal here. I still have some vouchers left over I'm going to have to make a pit stop maybe on my way going to Vero beach in a couple of weeks!

Cape May Cafe.... well, it had to be the most expensive Krispy Kreme donuts I've ever eaten. It was so basic. Scrambled eggs, sausage that was pink, fruit and mickey waffles. Nice, and worth it for maybe $8 each, not the $18 they charge. I guess for that kind of cash, I'd expect some specialty items like at the Crystal Palace. Not hash browns like McDonalds and mediocre muffins. One good part - Roger, our server on the second visit, was great with the kids. He even wiped down Alek for us when he was messy with ketchup. I wish we would have had cash on us because I would have given him an extra tip other than what he got from the vouchers.

Off-site... Golden Corrall on 535 was wonderful. Great value for the money. The steaks were so tasty, just like Outback. There was a nice selection and the service was friendly. We'll go back there again.

Chevy's is always one of our favorites. When we first got there we went there, they brought the kids out ice cream cones since it was near their bdays and big old sombreros they got to take home! The fajitas are great. We'll always go back here for a nice meal.

Landry's was closed due to the hurricane damage. We were sad about that. We went to Angel's lobster buffet on 192 instead. This was too expensive and I really wasn't impressed. The lobster was chewy and of course, not cleaned, so it had the ick factor, especially when I got a female one with eggs in its tail. *shudder at the thought* Way too much money for what you get here. Will not be going back.

Did Ponderosa for breakfast one morning, $3.99 for DH and I. That's a great deal. The kids are under 5 so they ate free. Gotta love it. For the price it was perfect.

I should add that we only had a studio, so we ate out most of the time. We stayed at my brother and sis-in-law's time share the first 4 days or so, and we did eat-in then and cook our own meals. We'll take advantage of the amenities of a stocked kitchen when we have a larger unit next time we go (we own DVC and this was our first stay. We booked just a few weeks ago and all they had left were studios.)

I think that's it... oh, did I remember to tell you all how good the Mickey Bars were?

Thanks for your reviews!

When you say Japan, was it their fast food place or the sit down tepan table place?

Cute twins!! I have twin boys myself!!

Where is Chevy's at? I have always heard of this and want to try it. Can you give me somemore info on Landry's also.

Thanks

Great reviews. As you can see in my picture my kids also like Mickey Bars and Cookies.

Chevys is in the Crossroads shopping center just outside of Downtown Disney. Excellent Mexican food.

Thanks for the reviews. I love reading about what other people eat.

Sorry you didn't like the dole whips. We love them. What kind did you get? We have only tried the pineapple ones and I don't think they are really ice cream.

The fish & chips at R&C is different than what they sell at the counter service place. So don't go there expecting the same. I was really disappointed in my fish at R&C but loved it at the counter place.

Thanks for the review, but I can't understand anyone not liking a dolewhip!;)

OP, I would suggest trying a pineapple float at Aloha Isle -- I don't even like pineapple but I love this! pineapple soft-serve almost like sherbert, floating in ice cold pineapple juice! The most refreshing treat I can think of. My kids always get the soft-serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream -- was that what you had?

We were down in August and ate at Japan, I can't remember the name of the restuarant, the one upstairs where they cook the food in front of you.

The service was great, our chef was a women, very funny and entertaining. We were very disappointed in the food. It had NO taste. Would not go there again.

Loved Bomas at AK, my son said everything tasted like cinamon.

Ate at Cape Mays for dinner, love that food.

Also ate twice at Earl of Sandwich. Great sandwiches, great prices (for wdw).

Wolfgang pucks, DH and DSons love their sushi, try a different type every visit.

Offsite our favorite is Logan's Steak House, rte 192 by Publics, good food, good service, good prices.

Hi everyone... thanks for posting!

My dole whip was the pineappel ice cream and pinapple juice combo. It was ok, but I wouldn't get it again.

Yes, the Mickey bars I will definitely get again. LOL.

Thanks for the info on the R&C fish and chips. Also, we ate at the counter service restaurant in Japan. I don't know the name off hand.

Hope that helps, there are so many places we didn't get to try - we'll just have to go back sooner rather than later!

Sherri :)

Thanks for sharing your reviews....made me hungry just reading them.

But, what I really wanted to say is I loved the picture of your kids. They are adorable!
