We must weigh about 25 more than when we left home!!! Here's where we ate and what we thought about each meal. Cast was myself, 55, dh, 47 and dd, 11.
Thanksgiving Day...Chef Mickey's. It was wonderful. We had a terrific server. We were seated in that upper room that overlooks the convention area and the lake. It was much quieter and we still had great character interaction. Our meal was as good as it has always been. Terrific turkey and fixings.
Friday...dinner at Cape May. WE had my dad and step-mom up from Pompano Beach and I wanted someplace a little quieter since he is hard of hearing. Dh had wanted to try the Clambake so it seemed like a good fit. Our waitress, Angela was nice but seemed to disappear a lot!! The food was mediocre in my opinion. We like plain cooking but that wasn't the problem. The offerings just weren't that tasty. I have heard a lot of good things about this meal so I was really disappoined, especially since my dad insisted on paying. It was okay but nothing I would do again.
Sat...oh my!!! One of my new favorites...Boma. Even my picky dd loved it. I wasn't too sure I was going to be 'into' the food offerings there but I was soooo wrong. We loved it. The different types of food were incredible and so very tasty. Not too spicey at all. Just tasted good. And the actual restuarant was so beautiful. Our server was wonderful..Lindsey. We called her the anti-Angela. We will be going back there, over and over again!!
Sunday...Crystal Palace. We have loved this one every single time. But, this visit was a little less than what we had had before. The food wasn't as varied as it has been in the past. And the CM's doing the seating kept having us sit someplace and then they would go off and forget us!! It took them about 15 minutes to find us a table and this was after we got into the restuarant!! We'll do it again but won't be upset if we can't fit it in.
Monday...LeCellier for the CP package. We have heard differing opinions on this one too. But, we loved it. The food was wonderful. I had the filet mignon and dh had a piece of beef with mushrooms and fried parsnips on it. Yummy. My Maple Creme Brulee was to die for but dd wasn't crazy about her S'Mores and dh said the Cobbler was 'okay'. So, the desserts were not the highlite.
Tuesday...Liberty Tree Tavern. WE've eaten here several times. But for some reason this time it was truly good. Not sure what the difference was; just that I liked the food completely and had no issues whatsoever.
Wednesday...Goofy's Breakfast at Cape May. Loved it in August. Liked it this time. The food offerings didn't seem as extensive this time. And since they started seating at 7:30 and we were seated at 7:35, I can't understand why my pancakes were stone cold. And I took some from the middle of the pile. But one new thing they have done is added a parfait bar area, where they normally have desserts at night. Yogurt and fixings and various toppings were available.
We ate breakfast for the most part in our room at BWV. Lunch we ate on the run most days. We were satisfied with most of our meals this trip. The best were at Boma and LeCellier though.
