Where was you secret hiding spot as a child.

It can be where you hid, or where you hid things.

I used to remove the floorboard and hide things there
 
the top of my desk slid off and there was a compartment. either that or in my closet under a pile of dirty clothes. :o :p
 
A cave about 1/2 a mile from my house. I used to hide there until I developed the fear of snakes.
 
I used to hide under my bed, in my brothers closet (that was more like a stage with doors) or and this is really odd. I used to climb up in my walk in closet and sit on the shelves above my clothes.
 

We had this sectional davenport (couch to us Germans), that had a corner unit that created a great hiding area behind it. I used to sit in there for hours - I am sure I wasn't being super stealthy as my Mom always knew where I was, but I was able to sneak up and listen to some parties they had when I was little.

I don't remember a hiding place for stuff.
 
again not very stealty,, but i would hide in the loft area over our barn,, there or about 1/4 mile from house up in this really neatly curled tree,,,,

Mom's closet, behind the mound of hanging clothes. I had lots of hiding places for items when I was younger. Actually, I have some pretty cool hiding places now too, especially from the kids and DH!
 
I didn't have to hide. As a child I had the magical power to become invisible. My mom always played along, calling me and wondering aloud where I was. Then I would jump up and say BOO!! Yeah, she was a great mom! :)

I liked to climb up on the top shelf of our linen closet.

I didn't eat lunch and spent the money on albums:D I would smuggle them in by leaving a window open in my room, and dropping them off before I came in the front door:D
 
9 kids, 2 parents, and various pets in a tiny city rowhouse did not allow for many hiding places. :( I was forever having a fit because I lacked privacy, particularly since I had 7 brothers who seemed to live to invade my space. :(

My next door neighbor and dear friend was an only child. She loved to come over to our house, I guess because she was lonely. I loved to go to her house because she had all the privacy she wanted. I remember keeping my diary (locked with a key, of course) at her house for several years. I loved her house and her room - she had her own canopy bed and all the Barbie dolls a girl could ask for.

Geez, I'm getting a tad off subject and sound a bit bitter, eh? :p Sorry. Long story shorter, no hiding place for poor Snoopy. :( :p
 
I used to hide high up in a cherry tree at the back fence in our yard.
 
I had a shelf in my room that housed a set of encyclopedias. I would put my paper money in the "M" under money. I put love notes in the "L".

Gee, I wonder if those were removed before the set went to Goodwill?:earseek:
