Where to watch Super Bowl IN WDW

We (DD,DSIL,DGS and I) will be in DW on Feb 6th, Super Bowl Sunday.We are staying at AKL. Im sure that my DSIL will want to watch the Super Bowl Sunday evening. Does anyone know if the bar at AKL has a TV and is it the type of bar that would have the Super Bowl on? I know he could go to ESPN but I think that it would be WAY too crowded. I know he could also watch it in the room, but thought he might like some male company, other than my DGS who will be 1 .Any suggestions?

I would say ESPN would be his best bet, and then it would be easy to meet up with the rest of the group who could go to MGM or Epcot. You could also make a dinner/lunch PS at Spoodles or Flying Fish.

We were at Disney last January during wild card weekend. DH and I went to the ESPN club and had a great time. It was pretty crowded though. We stopped by a few of the resorts and all their lounges had the games on. If he want's to be adventurous, I'd definitely recommend going to ESPN. Otherwise, I'm sure that any Disney lounge that has a TV will be broadcasting the game.

In the years past, all WDW resorts have had some kind of Superbowl party, usually with food and drink specials (ie. buckets of beer, chili dogs, etc.). At the AllStars they had a big (huge actually) screen TV.

If you want to go to ESPN you should really get there as early as possible - it's PACKED by game time. They had a HUGE tent set up outside broadcasting the game and that was crowded also.

As with the post above. GO to ESPN zone as early as you can. We got there at 6 last year and it was already packed. And the tent outside was too. Also the tent is 21 above so keep that in mind. But it was a great time. They had players doing broadcast from inside espn and trivia going on all day.

You could also go to the All Star Cafe at the Wide World of Sports Complex.

Yes, Victoria Falls at AKL does have TVs that are typically tuned in to sports. We're considering checking out the game there as well, not as packed as ESPN (but not empty by any means) and alot closer to "home".

I second the suggestion of going to All-Star at Wide World of Sports, we went a couple of Sundays ago and it was great to be surrounded with all these large screens and to have the volume control right at the table. Now this was during the regular football season so there were multiple games going on with each table watching their preference, how much more fun will it be when all of the TV's are on the same game!
I would also call All-Star ahead of time to see if they are doing something special for the night (I assume they will be).

We were there last year for Super Bowl Weekend.
The crowd at ESPN started lining up at 10:30 in the morning. We went to a park during the day and when we returned to POP Century in the evening the Super Bowl was just starting and there was a huge super bowl party in the food court. Drink specials, food specials and just tables of people. We had a great time.
You may want to consider staying at your hotel instead of ESPN.
