Where to watch RDCT fireworks from?

I have searched and read the best places to watch RDCT fireworks from but wondered if anyone had a suggestion for someone who can't stand for a long period of time or sit on the ground? Is there somewhere with an 'okay' view that we would be able to see the fireworks from? A bench? A concrete fence to perch against?

The benches around the hub and the spokes into the lands get moved to the sides. I'm not sure how you would claim these spots but it is what you are looking for.

Also I would suggest a table in coke corner or plaza inn but because of the covers over the tables some are better than other.

We liked being up by the castle but that means getting a bench around 6:30pm & taking turns holding it......lol

We have found a bench around the Flag Pole on Main Street about an hour before the show & had a good view looking up towards the castle.

The thing that is so special being up by the castle is at times you are surrounded by the fireworks & you also feel the heat come off the flame throwers.......really cool!!

Wow !! 3 hours early ?

Thanks for the replies! I think that is what we will do (find a bench near the castle and people watch etc.) If we have to do this about 6.30 then that is what we will do.

Thanks again for the tips.

We were there last week and they were still having fireworks every night, the advantage of this is that there is not so much pressure on the fireworks display, you will find when you are there that the fireworks will be just one night per week (Saturday) and for a lot of people this will be the only showing of their stay... Hope you get a good spot but you may have to secure it early...

If you want to see the fireworks without the wait, I suggest wandering up to IASW about 15 minutes before the show. This is what we did. Although we did sit on the ground, you don't have to. There was pletny of room. You can even see the projections they put on the IASW building. You aren't going to see Dumbo fly, but you'll have a good view of the fireworks. I suggest taking the path around the back of Tomorrowland. That way seemed the least crowded at that time. Another night we just stopped on that path, by the monorail and watched from there standing up.

If you stay on Disney Property, you can go to the PPH rooftop (3rd floor, where the pool is at) about 15 minutes before it stars. They play the music and you can just sit, relax & enjoy the fireworks. :goodvibes

We did the fireworks from Tomorrowland the first night but it was nowhere near as good as from the Hub with them centred around the castle and with Tink and Dumbo, we had to do them again from the Hub to get the proper effect...

When securing a spot be aware most of the fireworks will be to the leftt and above the castle, so watch for trees that might obscure your view...

OP is asking about RDCT, not Magical. :goodvibes I have never watched RDCT from iasw. Is that a good view for this show? I know they do cool projections, but how's the view of the fireworks?

Oh wow - you guys are awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

Yes, when we are there the fireworks will only be on a Saturday and Sunday night and it is RDCT so I'm really looking forward to that. As it is only 1 night out of our 5 nights I think I will stake out a bench early in front of the castle (looking out for trees that may block the view :thumbsup2). We can sit and enjoy dinner and people watch as we wait. (2 of us)

I'm wondering about this too...what's it like from IASW? It would sure be easier- less waiting- if the view was ok.

One option to consider (if you are really keen, really have to sit, or win at Vegas!) is doing a happiest haunts tour (see halloween thread). This reportedly includes pref seating for fireworks (but some people don't like the seats, and the change to Halloween fireworks makes it hard to tell). We've booked it for other reasons, but might be worth checking out. It will be running the weekend you are there.

Your other option is a F! pref seating booking, which doesn't have the best angle...you can remain seated after the show for fireworks...otherwise, just wing it as the OPs have suggested.
