Well after the not so fun discussion over the detailing companies. I thought I would start over with this thread! We travel all the way from Vermont and will really need to wash the RV. We have never used a truck wash before. What are your tips or suggestions. If we can wash it ourselves, what kind of soap or wax do you prefer?:goodvibes

As I stated in "detail" thread. We stopped at a truck wash. $60 for the MH and toad. I understand that is what they also charge for a 5thw and truck. Took them 20 minutes or less and I was very happy. Bye Bye salt..

okay,, I just did a search,,and there are plenty of places to wash your campers, trucks etc., in the Orlando area.
Now if I can figure out how to push the right buttons on this here box of wires to pull up truck stops and washers,, I am pretty sure that everyone on these boards also have the internet and can do the same.
Is it REALLY that hard to figure out ??:confused3

If your coming down I-95 stay at the Savannah South KOA they have there own coin operated car/RV wash right as you pull in.

Forgot that before.

A couple of years ago we stopped at a place in Kissimmee, not far at all from WDW - 10-15 mins away tops. Of course for the life of me I can't remember exactly the name/location, but we took a left off the DTD exit and then a right up past the WalMart and IIRC it was on the left before you get to Camping World (anyone know the name of that road?)

It was a car wash but with some really tall bays that fit our hybrid just fine. Sorry I can't remember if a MH would fit too. :headache:

(oh where oh where has my brain gone??)

I'm getting if you Google truck wash Orlando or Kissimmee something pops up.

judy i have never had my camper washed there. although my inlaws did. they had it washed and i just shrigged my shoulders and walked away. we had invited them there and they offered to pay to have ours done, i refused because i wanted to be courteous to my neighbors. however I try to be courteous i only drive two hours to the fort. one option would be talk to your neighbors maybe plan with them when they will be away and have them detail your camper after noon. this way you can enjoy your vacation. also i do not know any truck stops up there, and i understand why you would ask for pointers on one. this board is for information. so you want o know reliable places so that you can go to a nice stop. close by that someone has used. it is the same as asking what the trails end menu is, even though you can find it online. do what will make your vacation most enjoyable. however if you do get it washed there they are very loud so do not plan it for your first day. ask neighbors when they will be in a park and most weekdays if you are going to be there the loops are empty, with only a few spots filled so the noise will be a minor inconvenience.

I usually wash my truck there, its right next to the Camping world store on 192, unfortunately my trailer wont make the turn in and out of that parking lot.

Any Blue Beacon truck wash will do any camper combination. We have taken our coach there many times and they do a great job.

This is where we stopped and washed our truck and hybrid before checking in at the Fort. It was great for us, but I can see where some trailers would have a tough time getting into/out of there - the turns are tight.

You can also have it done at CampingWorld. I know the one in St. Augustine does it, so I would assume that the one in Kissimmee would do it also, and it is not far from the Fort.

So they just rinsed it, not actually washed it.

It was a full wash.. Pre wash, soap, soft brushes, pressure washed the wheel wells. 4 guys working on it.

The question was where to get it washed "NOT DETAILED"

That road is called Poinciana Blvd. I wish that car wash could accept big rigs. I live 5 minutes south of it on Poinciana Blvd and it would be very convienant for me.
