Where to View HalloWishes

We are planning on going to MK on October 31, but we will not have MNSSHP tickets. Our plan is to leave at 7:00 and head to Ft. Wilderness. Hoping to see a glimpse of the Headless Horseman and maybe take a carriage ride if it is available. I had originally thought we would then head to Bay Lake Tower to watch HalloWishes from the Top of the World Lounge, but we will be watching the regular fireworks from there the night before and wondered if I should change it up a bit. Then I thought we might head to the Poly to watch them from the beach, but I'm worried it will be crowded and with the bungalows now that it will be impossible to get a good view. (My thought was to also grab some Ohana bread pudding from Trader Sam's, but I'm sure that place will be super crowded that night!) I've also heard that the music is piped in at Fort Wilderness and that you can view the fireworks from the beach, but I'm worried that it will be too far away and at a weird angle. I am totally confused where to view them? Can someone help? I'm making ADRs next weekend and they may be affected by my plans. Thanks!

Personally, I would go back to Top of the World lounge. Why wrestle with crowds at Poly if you don't have to?

FYI - they don't have the bread pudding at Trader Sam's, but they have it at Tambu Lounge. They have some awesome apps and drinks at Trader Sam's though!

Are you aware of the new Headless Horseman meet & greet happening at Fort Wilderness this Fall?

So you do think it will be crowded at the Poly? I am trying hard to avoid crowds on this trip! I'm sure TOTWL will be much less crowded, so that makes sense. Thanks for the info about the bread pudding. I'm not really familiar with the Poly or lounges for that matter. I remember reading about it being offered at the Poly, but I guess I just got the lounges switched in my mind.

Thanks, I do know about it, but I'm really not interested in Meet and Greets (anxiety issues). I just want to see him from a distance. We haven't been to MNSSHP in several years, and I miss seeing him.

I would vote for the Poly beach for Hallowishes, it's a great "centered" spot especially with the 180 degree parts. BUT BIG NOTE - last year there were a lot of reports of no music being played for the Hallowishes fireworks. Not sure if that was the case with every party night, but it sure seemed like a lot of them. I would pay attention to this for this year once the parties start and maybe adjust your plans accordingly. I didn't stay at Poly this past year but have the prior two years - which DID have Hallowishes music. But I remember angry posts last fall.

Just something to keep in mind if that is in fact accurate. BLT seems like a perfectly suitable second option to me.

good point on the music.. poly can be very quiet and you want to watch from a spot you can hear the poly background music and not go onto the beach where you can't hear it. the volume will stay the same but it'll just switch to the show.

Oh wow. That is not good. To me, the best part of HalloWishes is the MUSIC! I would not be happy to miss it.

Yeah, I agree. Again, I don't have direct experience with how it was last year but just something to watch out for in case that happens this year. As @Accident said, even regular Wishes music is not that loud at Poly these days, so some of the reports could have been people too far out on the beach to hear.

That being said, we watched several MNSSHP's from our Poly TPV room October 2015 and Sept 2014 with great sound coming from the ground speakers outside the Hawaii building. Loved those trips.

What time is HalloWishes? We have 805 'ohana ADR on a MNSSHP night. Is this timing good for viewing the fireworks?

If they run at the same time as in 2016, they start at 10:15pm.

I read on another thread that they pipe in the music on the Trader Sam's patio. Does anyone have any experience with that with the regular fireworks?
By the way, I think we have decided to go to TOTWL to view HalloWishes (boat transportation to the Contemporary is easier than to the Poly from Ft. Wilderness) and then we may try to view Happily Ever After the night before at Poly after a meal at Kona Cafe. (Just hoping we can hear the music.)

They pipe the audio from virtually all MK fireworks shows to all of the primary areas where guests
traditionally can view them.

If they don't play the music on Poly beach you can try to find someone's YouTube video of the fireworks from inside the park on a previous night. Then play that, trying to sync up music and fireworks. Not ideal, but an option.

Poly for sure. We stayed there in Tokelau and could see it perfectly from the back staircase overlooking the bungalows. You can also catch it at the outside Trader Sams bar. I got some nice pictures too!
