We woke up this morning and my daugther has a high fever. She's only 9 months old. I was hoping someone here could recommend a doctor near Disney :rolleyes2 that we could take her to first thing in the morning.

Thanks in advance.

call the front desk. Disney has an emergency medical clinic they will recommend and have a shuttle to. Are you there now or about to leave? If you are still home go to urgent care and see if it is an ear infection. If it is you can't fly. Good luck.

Our Dr always told us to call her first no matter where we were. Often between the two of us we could figure out what was going on and she could call us in something. If necessary she can tell you where to take your child.

So sorry she is sick on vacation.

They have an office in Dr. Phillips. It's maybe 5 miles from Disney.

You'd take Apopka Vineland to Sand Lake Road (turn right or East on Sand Lake)
go to Dr. Phillips Road and turn left. They're on the right after 1/1.5 miles. They're a good pediatrics practice. For afterhours care, there's an after-hours pediatrics further north on Dr. Phillips, right before you reach Conroy Windermere.

Good luck,

Diane :grouphug:

PS The phone number is 407-841-7290 (then hit 8 for triage). That's the other downtown office, but they do triage for both offices.

I strongly recommend After Hours Pediatrics. I'm local and have taken my DD there several times. They are in the shopping area at the corner of Dr. Phillips and Conroy. From Disney, take CR536 to Conroy. Turn right on Conroy. Take Conroy to Dr. Phillips. Turn right on Dr. Phillips and into the shopping area. It is toward the rear.

They take most forms of insurance. The doctors are great. Each child is put in a curtain area with a TV playing movies. There is a comfortable chair for mom. They are open very late.

My pediatrician's name is Dr. Phillips! You had me doing the double take there. That's going to be easy to remember. Haha.

Hope your baby is better.

It's not a picnic to have a sick kid on vacation. Especially one under 12 months, who doesn't really understand why they feel so terrible and may not be able to tell you exactly where it hurts. You have my sympathy.
