Help! currently between HoJo and Springhills are available?? Suggestions welcome

Both hotel choices are good. If you have small kids, the pool area at the HOJO is very fun. Springhill Suites on Katella is located above a 24/7 CVS and a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf -- super convenient. And earning/being able to use Marriott points is always nice.
Are you looking for something specific in a hotel?

I think HoJo is closer/easier walk than either Springhill and that’s a #1 priority for us.

How many people in your group? Ages? Priorities?

Either one of them? As you can tell I haven't been back for 6 years, so I feel like this is all new again

7 and 10 year old. Close and walkable would be great! And my 7 year old doesn't make the best of walkers lol

I only asked as Springhill Anaheim Resort/Convention Centre is much closer than Springhill Maingate and in a far better location for shops, restaurants and access to Disneyland. I would also be surprised in the Resort/Convention was a similar price to Maingate, it’s usually much more expensive as it’s newer and closer.
In any case, the sticky you were linked to has plenty of great info. As a reminder, the park entrances are directly opposite the Best Western Park Place Inn and Park Vue Inn at 1544 and 1570 South Harbour Bvde, just to give you an idea of distance.

The Courtyard Marriott Rrsort across from the eastern entrance is by far the best non-Disney hotel in the resort area. The rooms have a suite feel, awesome separated bathrooms, bunk beds for the kids and a great water park, far superior to HoJos little water playground. It feels like a true resort, one of the few in Anaheim that do.

This fall. I haven't really made a budget yet. I like to be frugal but would also like to splurge if need be. I honestly don't know even what's out there. It's been years. I really to be honest need all the help and pointed in the right direction for any advice. I will take anything you might have to offer

So, one way to do it is pull up Google maps and just check your tentative dates on each hotel down the Harbor "strip" across from the east entrance. Go to the individual websites of the hotel (not, like, Expedia or whatever) and see what they have available. Start with HoJo at the top, do Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Camelot, Tropicana, BWPPI, Park Vue, Desert Inn, Del Sol, etc. down to the corner at Katella, and throw in Candy Cane Inn (because it's a huge favorite even though a bit farther) and just see what they have. Because I'm here to tell you, there's nothing like being within a 10 minute walk. It's so sweet to be able to ditch the hot, crowded park in the middle of the day, walk back and take a break, then come back refreshed without fussing with shuttle, buses, ubers, etc. That's my method for research. I've stayed at Hojo (nice waterpark) and at Desert Inn twice (very plain, but clean, and right at the crosswalk, usually the cheapest).

We stay at The Anaheim Hotel. A block away from the gate. Nothing fancy, but it’s clean, Olympic size pool, nice grounds, and has a Pizza Press attached to it. Good rates. Call them directly to book for best rates.

it's further away but the Doubletree suites down past the toy story lot on harbor. they treated me good when I was there almost 2 months ago
