Where to stay?

Wish I liked the look of Bay Lake because the location can't be beat!!!! Don't know if it's worth it though to give up the theming of AK for proximity. Decisions, decisions - I guess this is a good dilemma to have!

I think the "theme" of Bay Lake lies in it's location. You look out the window and see the Magic Kingdom or the monorail or if you sit on the balcony you can hear the sounds of Walt Disney World and just "feel" it. I personally love the fresh, clean lines and contemporary design, and there are Disney touches in the artwork. If you can get a theme park view, even better!

Very different than being immersed in the jungle, though, if you go with AK. You're in a great place --- and you'll enjoy whatever you decide!

We love AKV and BLT. However, I personally don't like the pool at BLT. It was small and very disappointing. I think the pool at either Jambo or Kidani is much much nicer.

I like standard view rooms vs Savannah because some of the Savannah rooms can be far away from everything and some of the Savannah views from the rooms can be disappointing. We had a standard view in Kidani overlooking the edge of the Sunset Savannah and the pool, and while we saw Tapirs and various birds every day, I would have been disappointed with the view if I had paid for a Savannah view. Tapirs just don't compare to giraffes, and you don't get to pick which Savannah you get to view from your room.

We're stay in a standard view studio in Jambo next week and very much looking forward to it. (though to be fair we're staying in BLT in Feb. >>; )

Thanks for the help everyone!!! I think we'll be happy with whatever is available because after all we're still in Disney!!!
