Working some options again, hoping whole family can go to DLP this time, so need to figure out where to stay - money does matter :worship:

Santa Fe would be the cheapest option, but Hotel Chayenne is just a few EUR more.
I was thinking about SL - more money, but I guess a better stay?

Also, I'm thinking of how long shall we do this - 4 or 5 nights. If it cheaper, I think we can do 5 nights. But again, I'm planing 1-2 night stay in Paris after DLP.

If no very good offers come out, I doubt we can stay in NPB or HNY.

Any thoughts?

Hi there,

Even working for the mouse, it is hard to tell in advance if there will be a special on a particular hotel.

Try to look the one whose theme makes your family more happier or more comfortable considering both price & ratings.

For example, I don't know if it's important to you but SF and CH have no swimming pools as other have. Or if you come for a special moment (right time) if there is a particular theme and/or ambiance you would prefer.

Anyway do not hesitate to ask about anything if you need to.

to tell the truth I don't care about the themes. But I do have two boys :goodvibes not sure about the pools, but we did go when we were in HNY - twice on our 4 night stay. But no pool would be fine for me. Not sure about bunk beds, kids never slept in those

With two young boys I think your best choice would be the Cheyenne - unless you think they'd be asking to go swimming in which case it would have to be Sequoia..

Hi

We had money as an issue, we are due to go in December but have only just returned from June so we were happy with SF. It also helped that my kids love the Cars theme so for them it was their favourite hotel :-)

If we have any extra cash we would prefer to spend it in the parks and on the amazing food there as it is very expensive. We stayed in the Explorer Hote in June in a large Suite which was lovely and we used the pool twice (although this gave the kids an excuse to stay up late so they were shattered) but we just didnt get chance to make the most of the amazing room. This time we will just be using it as a base to sleep.

We also prefer buffets having a baby under 1 (a noisy baby)! as it means no waiting around for food. And I like the reviews for the buffet at Santa Fe. Breakfast Im not so keen on at any of the hotels (the amount of pastries we ate in June has put us off for life) however we love Annettes American Style Breakfast which they serve till 1pm so we might nip in there for a day or two and treat ourselves. It was really quiet last time and filled us up for ages. We will just have a chocolate nut pastry from Salon Mickey and a Hot Chocolate in the morning to keep us going till lunch.

Sorry I cant expand more on the other hotels, Im sure others will be along soon to help. Some say the SL is lovely at Xmas/Winter as it has a burning log fire etc and I walked in NPB and whilst it was smart it didnt feel homely to me (personal choice). My OH hates fish too so the restaurants seemed to be a big no no for him. The HNY is close to Disney Village (and cafe Mickey ) and if we had the cash we would like to try this one day. And as for the DLH... Who wouldnt want to stay there... However unless money was a never ending supply or it was a special occasion I dont think I could pay the prices. Im hoping one day maybe me and OH can sneak away without the kids and have a honeymoon here!

I cant remember how old your boys are but I seem to remember they are quite young. Are they both in a bed or is one still in a cot?

If you go for Cheyenne all the rooms have bunk beds
All the others have 2 doubles (there are a few rooms with bunks in SF and NPB but they cant guarantee them)
Explorers which is off site has a double and 2 singles which is another option

So the first thing to decide would be how would they sleep best?

The next thing would be whether you would use the pool or not as already mentioned

Would you be going back to the hotel mid day? - I think you mentioned in another thread that your youngest has long naps - it would be further to walk back to some hotels or would just one of you go back with one child?
It may be one has a swim while the other naps

Do you use EMH? If so you wont get it if you stay off site so that rules Explorers out

Id hold off until after Sept 30th - thats when these current offers end and the new offers should be out shortly after that. When do you want to do?
We really liked the Santa Fe and i agree about then having more money for spends in the park! Remember any child under 3 eats for free at buffets :thumbsup2 love a bargain

One DS will be 6 (his sixth birthday is just a month away) and the other DS will be 3 in December. The little one still sleeps in his cot, but by the time we travel to DLP he should be sleeping in a "normal" bed :goodvibes

As I mentioned before, we did use HNY pool, but not having a pool is not a problem for my boys at all. I don't like swimming at all, so in fact the pool would be the least problem.

I'm still waiting to make decisions, we still got time, but everything need to be thought of. It's like to get the best for the money we'll be spending.

I'm thinking of renting a stroller or even taking one from home for younger DS and his naps. 4 hours for a sleep at a hotel - that's a waste of time in DLP.

Oh and I do care about EMH.

My friend stayed in SF and she said it was fine.

So, right now I come up with these prices: SF 526Eur, Cheyenne 604Eur, SL 932 Eur :scared1:

So I guess we'll skip SL unless really good offer comes up. If we decide to go all 4 of us, the prices will be much highier :rolleyes1

Oh, and they don't give prices for April 2012 yet...

Who are those prices for? Remember you pay a supplement for only 1 adult in a room so 2 adults dont make that much difference.
Also there is often a kids go free offer on during March so you may get the children free

Hi Isila
Try pricing on www.disneylandparis.ie or the uk site www.disneylandparis.co.uk
They'll both give you dates up until May 2012 but the .ie one will be in euros.
I think its up to 40% off on the Irish site.
Id definately bring your stroller. We needed it for our 4 year old and she didnt sleep during the day but DLP wore her out!

thanks, you're being so lovely :lovestruc

I'm not sure if my husband can get his vacation, so it might be just me and my DSs.

We're right now let's do the thinking and counting part :lmao:

I'll go and try out the prices over different sites.

I wonder how travel agents do bookings :confused3

oh my... it's 1 334,50 Eur for SF from April 2nd for 1 adult and two kids... :scared1: these prices are just nuts :scared1:

and 470,25 € SF March 26th 5 nights 1 adult and 2 kids...

Is this because of the celebration?

Concerning March 26th for 5 nights

-> You get 25 % discount on SF, CH and SL and 40 % on NBC -which explains why it is cheaper than SL where there is a 25% discount- 25% is an "early booking" offer valid till Sept. 30th and 40% special offer

Concerning April 2nd

You can get an early booking ofer (valid for bookings made before Oct 30th). That will reduce your quote of 15% percent (instead of 25). The kids free offer is still valid.

I guess the best option would be to choose the first stay.

With a little pixie dust, you may get the chance to see a small part of 20th anniversary during that last week of March. :cheer2::woohoo:

I' still hoping for a good offer to come up, I won't be booking until October anyway... :goodvibes

Dear god,
that SF price is scandalous!!
I would hold out Isila. You can definately get a better price. Good luck xx

Me too!! I want to book for our honeymoon in May but Im holding out for offers :goodvibes:surfweb:

well, waiting for an offer is a part of the magical trip too.

I'm not telling kids yet, they'll get too excited. Or maybe I shall wait to make a big surprise on travel day morning. We'll see.

But seeing some prices makes me nuts. I do hope for a good offer. I think we could do for around 800E for 5 nights. I hope to fit in this.
