Where to stay?

We're planning on visiting the mouse again next January and we're having a hard time deciding on where to stay. I know it's too soon to book anything outside of our home resort yet, but I'm a planner!

Some background...
Our home resort is OKW, only bc it was the first DVC resort to open so that is where all of our points where bought out of, not bc it's our favorite (not by a long shot)
There will be 11 of us (7 adults and 4 kids ages 10,8,2,and 1) and we usually stay in a 3bed villa, but we don't have to stay in one, but it would be ideal.
We've stayed at Boardwalk villas, and BLT and of course OKW, and really liked to have easy access at least one park, ie within walking/monorail ride, but again not completely necessary.

Any ideas?

you MUST try AKL!!! We were in Kidani last summer and it is now our favorite resort! since the property is so big you probably wont have a hard time with availability!

I would have to go with Beach Club Villas if you are lucky at the 7 month mark. It is great for all ages.You can walk to 2 parks. It has been voted by Redweek.com the number 1 Timeshare for the 3rd year in a row out of thousands of timeshares. That has to tell you something. Good Luck.

Since you have 10 and 8 year old kids with you, you might be happiest closest to the MK. Thus, maybe BLT which is walking distance to the MK.

I would say that if you are into what is fun for the kids, then you should stay at Kadani Village. The pool and water play area are unbelieveable for the kids! (Although I am not sure about the weather in Jan). The animals are also a major plus! We stayed there in July with 5 kids (11, 11, 7, 4, and 1). The kids were in awe of the animals all week long and we could have just stayed at the resort for the pool and activities without going to the parks. All the negatives that I've read on the boards about Kadani (dark rooms, far away from everything, long hallways, no counter service) were never even an issue to us at all! Good Luck and enjoy!
