Where to stay?!?!

I am planning a quick weekend getaway to see the Christmas lights. Everything in Disney is booked the weekend I will be going (12/5-12/7). I'm looking for a clean, convenient place to stay with my 2 dd's. I'm gravitating toward the DTD hotels. Can anyone that has stayed in any of the DTD hotels recently give me any suggestions? I guess the biggest thing is that this trip is also suppose to be economical!! All the info is overwhelming so I need some help making a decision.

Filming for what? Thank you for the heads up. I was wondering why everything was full that weekend! How bad are the crowds? Not sure if I can switch weekdends.

They film the Christmas parade that you see on tv on Christmas day. From what I've heard it's a long affair.
