My partner and I will be in Aneheim October 25-31 and we have purchased our 3-day park hopper and our universal studios tickets...we will be renting a car but...where should we stay?

I am very budget concious but would spend a little more for a great deal...so what prices should I look at for that time and what do people reccomend? I am fine with one star name brand chains...or 3 stars that are a great deal...

My sister has been looking for October also and told me that GetAwayToday seems to have the best deals right now (3rd or 4th night free I think). They automatically include tickets when you look online but you can remove them and get hotel only. I think that if you don't stay in a Disney hotel that the Candy Cane Inn is wonderful and it is such a quick walk but not the lowest price. Their website is www.candycaneinn.net
Good Luck! Disney at Halloween will be great!

Expedia has a rate of *89/nt for a non resort view room ($129 for a resort view) for the Fairfield.

The Desert Inn has their regular rooms listed at $89/nt. We've stayed here before and although it's nothing fancy, it was fine for a place to sleep after playing all day in the parks.

Anaheim Plaza lists their two queen room for about $70/nt. We've stayed here before too. We had a bottom floor room and it was pretty big and had an enclosed patio. It's a bit farther to walk and charges $4/day to park, but it wasn't bad at all. IMO it's comparable to the Desert Inn except the Desert Inn's staff was better as is the location.

Another vote for the Candy Cane Inn here. We stayed there in May on our first trip to Disneyland and loved it! It is not the absolute cheapest available, but is reasonably priced. As a previous poster noted, it is within walking distance to the parks. Another great benefit, for when you are just too tired to hoof it back to the hotel after a long day, is that the CCI has its own shuttle (lots of the other offsite hotels use a shuttle that stops at multiple resorts).

Tropicanna, Carousel Inn and BWPPI are the three of the closest hotels to Disneyland and get very good reviews here, expect to pay $70 to $100 depending on your barginning ability. Ring the hotels direct and see what deal you can do, all three hotels include breakfast. If you don't mind a bit of a walk (just over half a mile) then both Hojos and Candy Cane are also well thought of, Hojos has an entertainment book rate that is as low as $54, Candy Cane is the dearer of all above usually around the $100 mark, Hojos does not have a breakfast, CCI includes breakfast and also has its own free shuttle. If just two of you then you can't go wrong at any of these hotels.

We are staying at a Holiday Inn again next month. We have found from going to San Diego that we were able to get an amazing deal going through Priceline.com. Love using them. You just don't get to pick where you stay but you name your price and minimum star level. We are staying at Holiday Inn for $77 per night.
I have a friend who booked a room in Reno through priceline.c
om and paid 1/2 the price for a beautiful resort place!
Good luck! The hotel choice is always the hardest part of the trip for me.

We always always always use priceline, the last 4 times we have gone we have gotten the best hotels all under $80 dollars a night. We stayed at the Hyatt(our favorite) twice for $70 dollars a night, the double tree for $63 dollars a night.

We are going this month from Sept 27th to october 1st and staying at the holiday inn anaheim resort and we snagged that place for $68 dollars a night.

All you do is go to priceline and to the name your own price section, put in that you want a three star hotel and you want to stay in the disneyland area

like I said it has yet to fail for us and we never have paid more than $80 a night. In fact we used to stay at motels like the ramada inn for over $80 now we do priceline we get beautiful hotels and resorts for a lower price.
