Decisions, Decisions! We have four hotel options and I liked some advice.

1. Dolphin at $99 per night
2. Swan at $99 per night
3. Port Orleans Riverside at $88 per night (Annual Passholder rate)
4. Marriott Fairfield Inn at $49 per night (includes breakfast and is at the "Magicard" rate)

Please share your thoughts. We're leaving in 8 days. Many thanks!!!

We stayed at the Dolphin for $99 too in the month of December. It was great. The room was all right, but the location was awesome!

My DH is a bed hog! If you need two beds in the room, the Swan has queen size beds. The Dolphin and Disney Moderates have double beds. I'd pick the Swan!

I guess I'd vote POR. I just love to be surronded by Disney 24/7 when there - wake up calls, disney TV channels, characters, just the whole Disney level of service. But the queen beds is certainly a good point. How many of you are going? I guess at 4 to a room, I too might opt for queen beds at Swan. (My DH is a bed hog too!)::MinnieMo

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! If my DH wasn't 6'3" and a bedhog, I'd might have gone with the POR. The queen size heavenly bed sold me. I've made our reservations!

Here's a HOT TIP! My DH is a Starwood Preferred member so for 5000 points we've upgraded our $99 per night room to the Concierge/Club level and the $10 per night resort fee is waived. He didn't have enough points, so I went to the Starwood website and bought extra points at $25 per 625 points to make up the difference. (500 points plus a 25% point bonus in December 2003.)

Was the resort fee waived because of concierge/club level, or because of being a Starwood Preferred member? At any rate, that's great, have a wonderful time!

:D

I am waiting for AP rates for Jan/Feb. If nothing comes out I am going to see if Dolphin Swan is available. I have tons of Starwood points I could use to upgrade! I forgot about that.

In response to the question on the $10 resort fee, it was waived because of concierge/club level. I'm counting the days!!!

2 weeks ago and LOVED IT! Great location and incredible service!
