What are our options? We're on a pretty tight budget but really would like the have some sort of suite since we have three kids, one of which is a toddler.

We're planning to go st the beginning of February. In the past we've stayed at Park Vue.

Recommendations?

Check out the new Courtyard and Holiday Inn Express near HoJo's.

On the corner of Harbor and Katella, three new Hotels, the Residence Inn, Springhill Suites and Hyatt House, all designed for families.

The older Residence In on Clementine next to the Anaheim GardenWalk.

Free decent breakfast at all properties, the room design depends on which type of room you reserve, and for many walking distance (less than a mile away).

Our last 2 trips to Disneyland, we have used VRBO and booked a condo. They can be found for $200 a night easily. The ease of a kitchen, laundry and separate sleeping areas for little ones makes the trip so much easier for us!

The city of Anaheim has decided to ban VRBO's (Renting a full hose in a residential zoned area), and the period to close down the operations is this August.

Renting a room while the owner is still on property, or operating a Short Term Rental (less than 30 days) will still be allowed in mixed-use and commercial zoned areas. But the location must meet the same safety requirements as a Hotel, basically banning them in locations like the Condo on Walnut.

at The MRI, a step above studio, is a two beds in a bedroom with door and only bathroom and a front room with pull out sofa. Though being only two months away, there is no significant savings that you would get a year out. The reason i suggest this lodging, is that it is a great place to be if parents are splitting time in the park. The pool is very kid friendly, nice resort feel to the botanical aspect, just a restful place to vacation. No elevators, no noise and that wonderful breakfast.

If the MRI means the Residence Inn by Marriott, you now have two locations within walking distance, the older condo-like property is on Clementine. This will be right in the Construction zone near the Pummba Structure site.

The newest one is on Katella between Harbor and the Convention Center. It is a modern Hotel Tower version and does have elevators.

So make sure you are looking at the right Residence Inn (and there is a third on Harbor south of Katella near the corner of Harbor and Chapman.)

the older condo property. I was there during garden walk construction and didn't notice the noise, and we were right on the corner. any marriott is always a great choice as is any advice from Darkbeer. The choice comes to how you want to spend your time with the kids at lodging and easy release for an adult to return to the park at night. jAs for budget, it could be to late for any budget reservations with your specfic needs

I too like the older Maingate Residence Inn (on Clementine) better. It has more of an apartment feel. I love using the shopping feature (drop a shopping list off at the desk in the AM, groceries in your kitchen in the afternoon.) There is also a small play area for younger kids on the north eastern part of the property. The hot breakfast is great. It does get crowded in the dining area, but we either eat on the pool deck or we take it to the room.
