Its our first cruise in August, currently we are booked in to Vero Beach for a few nights before the cruise. I am now thinking we may be better off checking out of Vero and moving to a Hotel near the port. Any views upside or downside?

Any tips on good Hotels and where to get good rates/

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Phil,

Looks to me like you are already moving enough! I would stay at VB and just head over to the port in the morning. We like to arrive when the port opens (10:30) so we are one of the first families on board.

Enjoy!

I have heard good things about Ron Jon's. check them out.

We stayed at the Radisson in Cape Canaveral and we liked it very much. Great pool! You can walk to nearby restaurants and it's very close to the port. We're staying there again in August. It's very reasonably priced too.

we're toying with staying at the Radisson in Port Canaveral the night before versus some place close to MCO airport. Figure I have until Halloween to figure it out (we fly into MCO on 11/13). :teeth:
