Where to stay offsite for one night?

We are driving down after our kids get out school. We just need a clean decent place to sleep for a family of 5, nothing to expensive. We will be checking into the Poly the next morning. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

my cheap budget is under $50 a night.

I really don't want to spend more than $85 ( with all the hidden fees included). I also want to be somewhere relatively close to the resorts so we don't have to drive very far the next morning.

There are quite a few hotels on the 192 near the Sherberth Road entrance into WDW. Sherberth gets you near the AKL/AK entrances:

Groupon has Comfort Inn Maingate as a deal today. Reviews are mixed. I'm considering it for our 1 night before CBR.

FWIW, my fiance and I have had great results using the Priceline bidding. We usually stay on-site, but for weekend trips with only 1 or 2 nights, we opt to save the money. I'm sure the results with the bids depends when you're going, but we've gone done it for trips in Oct, Feb, and May and never bid more than 60 for a night for a 3.5 star in Lake Buena Vista. They ended up being the Holiday Inn Resort LBV and the Best Western LBV, which were so close to Downtown Disney!

YMMV, of course, and maybe we just got lucky. But it's always worth a shot!

Groupon has Comfort Inn Maingate as a deal today. Reviews are mixed. I'm considering it for our 1 night before CBR.

Thank you so much. Comfort Inn was no longer on GROUPON, but I found Clarion Suites Maingate for $60.00 and They had pretty good reviews, and they don't charge for parking like some others I have looked at. They also consider 6 people standard in a 2 queen suite, so no extra fees there either .
