Where to stay?? Oct 2019.

I agree that you should look at resorts that are outside the MK area for your second stay. While AKV is a nice resort, I find it very remote. I feel it is even more remote than OKW. If space is a number one priority, OKW can’t be beat. They have the largest rooms on site. You still have to bus everywhere, except Disney Springs. But the rides seem much shorter than from AKV. Now if you are going to have people sleeping on the sofa bed, AKV Kidani have an extra bathroom by the front door. We found this very handy. Personally I love staying at BVC or BWV. I love being able to walk to DS and EPCOT. And the BW has some nice nighttime entertainment. But the rooms are a bit small. You will be there during EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. So staying at one of those resorts is time saver if you plan to attend.

The best thing to do is to check availability the day prior to your window opening. Then make a list in the order of preference. That way the minute your 7 month window opens, you know what to try for.

I would love to stay at BCV, I’m going to waitlist it for sure, but I’m not holding my breath. Thanks for the advice and info on buses. I think transportation is my highest priority with space being 2nd.

In that case, do the people in your group like to walk? If so, I would lean towards BCV or BWV. You can walk in about 10 to 15 minutes to both EPCOT and DS. If you have young kids or people with mobility issues, there are still the boats to both. But it can be a bit of a wait sometimes. We are staying at BWV in October for the Food and Wine. I know it will likely be crazy busy with the new Star Wars Land opening the end of August. That and Food and Wine should make it jumping! Enjoy!
