So considering a 3 or 4 night trip to DLR. The 3 DLR hotels are a bit out of our price range, though. We would like to stay somewhere that is close enough to walk to the parks. Any nice, clean, affordable hotels nearby that anyone would recommend?

Thanks!

My favorite is HoJo's. If you have kids they have a great pirate water play area! You can get great deals if you buy an entertainment book (the one with all the coupons and such and it can be for your city you just have to have the card that comes in them)....if they happen to have the entertainment rate for the dates you are there you can stay with a pool view for $69/night. They have a frig, coffee maker, microwave, new bedding, pillow top mattresses, etc. You can check their discussion board for dates here:

Other places that come recommended are: Candy Cane Inn (a bit further walk), Carousel Inn, Best Western Park Place Inn, Fairfield Inn and Suites. All are less than 10 minute walks with Best Western being right across the street from the entrance.

The only places we've stayed at were the Castle Inn,(so-so)and the Camelot (not to shabby). A few years ago,I stayed at the Alpine (solo trip). You didn't mention 'when' you were going,so there may a fair amount of price differences. :confused3

Couldn't recommend Hojo's more highly. We stayed for 13 nights in late May/early June this year and it was great. The best beds I have ever slept in! We were in Building 2 - I say this because I am not sure if they have upgraded the beds in all the rooms as yet.

Have a great stay! :goodvibes

We stayed at the Fairfield last year, and we liked it just fine. I was a little worried about it, but honestly we liked it enough that we would stay again. It was nothing fancy, but the rooms were fairly roomy, clean, and the beds were comfortable. Very walkable, we had small children and would take a break in the afternoons in the room. We had a park view room. I haven't stayed at any of the others to compare to. Good luck! Enjoy your trip!

This is our first time going to Disneyland and we are going to be staying at Anaheim Plaza. 6 nights and it's only 450 and it's walking distance to the park. I keep hoping we didn't make a bad choice. I would love to stay at HOJO but they don't have the entertainment rate and I can't afford the normal rate.

I have stayed at several on harbor, I just stayed at the fairfield and decided it was my motel to stay! laundry rooms on every floor, pizza on the third floor ( pizza hut) and a Seattle's best coffee shop there to! beds were like huge clouds, rooms were super clean, and maid service was amazing. if I did not want them to come in the room, they called to see what they could give me and how to make us comfortable. its so close !! restaurants on all sides, there is no other choice for me, its fairfield inn!
