Where to stay near Sea World

We will be heading to Disney on the 7/4 DV package in September but have decided to come down a few days before to meet my cousin's newly adopted daughter and go to Sea World.
We need a nice place for a family of 5 to stay for 2 nights near Sea World (many years ago on my honeymoon we stayed at a Sheraton right across the street but I can't seem to find it now).

I have quite a few Hilton Honors points racked up so I would like to use them if possible or find a place reasonably priced. Any suggestions?

You might want to post this over on the SeaWorld/Discovery board, I'm sure there are previous threads about this same question.

Years ago I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel directly across from SeaWorld and it was very good. There are also several newer hotels that have sprung up in the area. Maybe you could do a search on Google.

Happy trails!

There is a nice Hilton Garden Inn near SW that is a couple years old. Never stayed there, but looks nice.

I'm sure it's on the Hillton website.

herc.

You may also want to check out Hilton's Grand Vacation Club at Sea World. I've heard it's lovely and if you already have points, it might not be that expensive. Plus you would get a full villa for the price of a hotel room.

We stayed at the Residence Inn sea world this week. It's very nice. The renais.. is within walking distance.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in August 2002 for $99 a night plus 2 free adult passes to Seaworld. I thought the hotel was nice, clean, and new feeling, with big rooms, refrigerators and microwaves. You can easily walk to Seaworld and we would defitely stay there again.

Seaworld was also letting everyone come back the 2nd day for free. That would have made the deal even better, but we were headed home.

Hope this helps.

Another vote for Hilton Garden Inn here--we stayed there last September and thought it was great--new, clean, and had a microwave and mini-fridge.

If staying near Sea World is important to you, then you should definately look into the Hilton Grand Vacations resort which is less than 1 mile away, and quite beautiful with large villas that sleep up to 6 or 7. It can be hard to get into during the busy season though.

The Renaissance - a Marriott resort - is right across the street from the SeaWorld parking lot. It's a wonderful resort plus you can see the fireworks from SeaWorld from your window if you ask for a room facing that side! The food is good, the resort is top notch and the price we got was great. We walked to and from SeaWorld as we didn't have a car.

Thank you for all of your replies. Can those of you who have stayed at either Sheraton World, Hilton Garden Inn or the Renaissance Hotel tell me if any offer roll aways and is there a charge? Also do any of these places offer a continentel breakfast, kid's eat free or discounts on Sea World tickets?

I know this must sound cheap but this trip was very unexpected and I am trying to keep the cost of these two nights to a minimum without sacrificing a nice place to stay.

Why not call each place directly and ask? Or check their websites for specials. I don't think the Renaissance had 'kids eat free' and we didn't need a rollaway. Plus we already had our SeaWorld tickets (bought them online to save $$, print your own and save a few bucks).

Have you considered the new Pepsi offer for SeaWorld? You get a free meal and extra drink by using a code from Pepsi and ordering the tickets from the website.
