We are planning a split Disney/beach vacation in August. I'm looking for a place to stay in Siesta Key, we have never been and heard it's beautiful. It's just me and DH we would like a balcony and possibly a kitchenette or at least a fridge and microwave it would only be for 3 or 4 nights. Thanks, Linda :)

Stayed at Tropical Beach Resort and was very happy with it. Had a studio suite with a full kitchen great patio ( we're in the buliding that looks like a fourplex)

You are so lucky to be going to Siesta Key! I have never been but have read up on it. It is supposed to be the most beautiful beach in all of Florida!!! That's a lot to live up to.
Let us know all about it when you get back, please. My husband and I are thinking about this area too.

We stayed at Siesta Dunes last October in a 2 Bedroom/2 Bath and really enjoyed it. We know a couple that own a couple of condos there, though we did not rent from them as they were in their main one and the other was reserved by others in our group.

We enjoyed have the lanai to relax in since my mom had just completed treatment for cancer and could not be out in the sun for too long. The pool was nice for times you wanted to be wet, but not in the ocean. The beach was not busy at the beginning of October so that was really nice to come and go and have plenty of beach to chose from. We used the community deck/grills to have a birthday party for the kids.

We just stayed at Twin Palms. They have a sister resort called the Capri. I know both are nice but the Twin Palms are newly remodeled rooms with small but complete kitchens. If I had known it would be that nice I would have booked it for more than one night. It's at the south end of the beach and a very easy walk, less than 3 minutes, to the beach.

Thank you for the information, I'm looking into these resorts. We are very excited looking at pictures of the area it looks so tropical. Linda :)

We just got back from the Palm Bay Club and loved it. We rented on VRBO but you can rent directly from the resort, too.
