where to stay in Kidani Village

Our first visit to Kidani Village is coming up. We're staying in a 2 BR.

Any suggestions on room location would be appreciated.

Standard or savanna view? If standard you might request pool view which is the better of the standard views. If savanna view, you should consider requesting close to the lobby; the reason: there are two wings, north and south, the walk from the lobby to the end room on the north wing is over 1/4 mile, to the end of the south wing just a little under 1/4 mile. Also to the north/northwest of the north wing is Pembe savanna which does not have giraffes and thus if you want to see giraffes you want view of Sunset savanna, which most savanna view rooms overlook, and if you get close to the lobby that automatically means you are overlooking sunset savanna.

We have the Savanna view. Also, are the 2 BR's on all floors or only on certain floors? What is your opinion on the different floors? I like the idea of being close to the lobby.

We requested a two bedroom on an upper floor when we were there last July. We were disappointed, but I got what I asked for. The lower the floor the better. We saw a lot of tree tops. We saw animals, no doubt, but it would have been nice to see OUT into the savanna.

2BRs are on all floors (2 to 5) and located throughout resort. Many prefer lower floor for more direct view of animals but there are also many who prefer upper floors for wider view of savanna.

We had a 2nd floor room next to the lobby ad it was perfect. When you look out at the Savanah you can see the animals almost at eye level. Plus you are not looking down at the trees. near the lobby was great. The Community Hall is on the second floor right off the lobby, so it was nice to be able for the kids to walk down a couple of doors to go there

We were on the 3rd floor close to the lobby (to the left when looking at the savannah from the lobby). It was a wonderful location. Only 2nd floor would have been better because we wouldn't have had to use the elevator, but it was no big deal at all. We almost never waited for it.

thanks to everyone who responded. we requested a lower floor near the lobby on the pool side of the resort. Let's see what happens!
