Where to stay for Wine and Dine Half Marathon

Hi All - I am planning on doing the Wine and Dine half in November and wondered where is recommended to stay? I am considering the Dolphin/Swan, because we can walk back to the hotel after the after party - but it's not one of the "host" hotels so they won't be providing transportation - Anyone have thoughts on this? and on the race and finish line party as a whole? Thank you!!!!

We are staying at the CB because it is a host resort, and we managed to get free TS dining. The ability to walk back to the hotel after the party would be great so the Swan or Dolphin would be a good choice. You could just take a taxi to the start at ESPN.

I am staying at AKL because it is a host resort. After 13.1 miles and a party, I do not want to walk anywhere.

When we did it, we stayed at AKV, which was not a host resort. We took a bus to Epcot. They had shuttles there to take you to the starting line. After we were done, we just walked over to BC and got a taxi back to the hotel. The Swan/Dolphin would work well for you. Have fun! We had a great time, but I was ill prepared to how wired i'd be after the race. I'm usually a morning runner, so the night part of it threw me off. Couldn't fall asleep, but loved it!

Have you looked to see what is available? We were looking at extending our vacation to that weekend and some of the deluxes are booked or selection is limited. Definately go look as soon as possible, especially if you want to take advantage of any discounts.
