Which DVC resort would you guys recommend for a Father/Son trip? My DS will be 2.5 at the time of the trip, so still pretty young.

I'm torn btwn VWL to be close to MK or BWV to have SAB. It will probably be Feb or March of 2007, so it could still be too cold to swim (I know those dates are always a gamble as far as weather).

What are your guys thoughts?

TIA

SAB is a great pool, but I have to think that at 2 1/2 years old, your son will be happy with pretty much any pool you take him to! :thumbsup2

I'd go with VWL. Then again, I'm probably a little bit biased there. :teeth:

I think being close to the MK might be your best bet at that age. I agree with Granny!

Just wanted to say that SAB is at the Beach Club Villas, not the BWV (in case the BWV was not a typo). :)

Best wishes -

We picked VWL for our DGC's first WDW trip! That's the one I would pick for you.

Bobbi :goodvibes

VWL - without a doubt - I took my 3.5 yo son there for a long weekend in September and he adored it - also the ferry boat to or from MK is a nice option - my son got really excited about being at mickey mouses playground so the 15 min ride home helped to calm him down and get him ready for his bed

I would say VWL. Just seems like the place a father and son could have fun. Not to mention they love the boat trip to the MK. Unless you don't plan on spending much time at the park and mostly at the resort the BCV has the awesome swim area. We are a park family so it comes down to personal preference.

D'OH!!!! (sound of Homer Simpson). Yes, it was a typo, thanks for pointing that out.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the tips. We were at VWL last Dec and just loved it. I have to agree the boat ride would be a nice way to calm him down on the way home and you just can't beat the proximity.
