we would like some ideas as to where to stay before we cruise . we are planning on arriving a day earlier. any ideas? thank you

There has been alot of previous threads regarding this topic.

I originally booked the Radisson for the night before for about $100. Then, a little while ago there was alot of threads regarding their shuttle system.

Now we have a reservation at the airport Hyatt for about $140. We will be hiring private transportation in the morning to take us to the ship. To us, it is worth the extra money to choose our own time frame without any worry about the shuttle. Also, the Hyatt will transfer the luggage for you.

Others have been staying at the new RonJon hotel and have posted positive threads. It is also by the port.

We stayed at the Raddison at the port, before both cruises.

We had a car. If we didn't have a car..would have hired a cab.

Very convenient.

We have dinner at Grills, and breakfast at Grills the morning of the cruise. Works out great!

We are staying at the WL this October before our cruise. We were going to stay at the Radisson, but since we are getting the REAS package we wouldn't have to rush to get on board for all our ressies. We will probably spend the day at the hotel and then head over to DTD in the evening.:)

WEBRAY, I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION FOR YOU.

WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE THE SHUTTLE BUS TO THE CRUISE LINE AND LEAVE YOUR CAR AT THE RADDISON?

WE ARE STAYING THE NIGHT BEFORE AT THE RADDISON FOR 85.00 FOR 11/04 DCL & PLAN ON LEAVING MY CAR THERE. I HAVE ALREADY CALLED & MADE RESERVATIONS, FOR THE 10:30 AM SHUTTLE.

IS GRILLS AT THE RADDISON? IS IT EXPENSIVE?

ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT.

THANKS

PATRICIA

We are booked in the new Ron Jon resort for 2 nights before sailing next month. We flipped our reservation from the Radisson to the new Ron Jon once we heard some good reviews and saw pictures.

We stayed at the Sheraton at the airport, $69 a night, free shuttle to and from the airport, they dropped us off Saturday morning right at the Disney bus stop.
Pretty nice breakfast buffet there too, but you have to pay extra for that.
About 5 minutes from airport, quiet and clean.

We stayed at the Raddison the night before our cruise, 4 weeks ago to the day to be exact. We had been reading about the problems with Raddison just about 2 weeks prior to our reservation there. We decided to just keep the reservation and take our chances. We had called the hotel about 3 weeks before we were to arrive to make shuttle arrangements. We did not purchase the cruise package and we had no problem making the reservation.

We were picked up promptly by the shuttle at the exact time promised. The driver was very nice and made our trip to the cruise fun with his interactions with us, the passengers. When we left the ship after our cruise we were again picked up promptly and had the same pleasant driver for the ride back to the hotel. I am not sure what the problems were (something about not being able to schedule the shuttle), but as far as I am concerned, I am glad we stayed there. :D

We will be getting a car from the airport (Budget) for $39 (includes the taxes and everything) and driving to the port Sat. We have a ton of Hilton HHonors points and will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach. They have breakfast for free. We will then return our car to Budget and they will take up to the ship.
