just returned home from our xmas trip-was an ok trip, things we didn't do and wanted and kid going off to college are making the idea of another trip and idea....this being said, we at thinking Oct for our anniversary but may include our 1 dd that is still home. first time not needing 2 rooms and wanting ideas to make it fun. thinking of the moderates as we had a few issue at POP again this trip(can not convince the dh to try a value again) as much as I would love to do a deluxe, I don't know that I can justify the cost, yet....are there any deals that are usually available @ Oct 24-31? I a kicking myself for not booking the bounce back but with all the issues that was the last thing I was going to get my dh to agree on :( its been a while since we have looked/done the fall as we have only done xmas week trips since 2008. TIA

October is a pretty busy month at the resorts and parks. If there is any kind of "deal," it will be a room-only discount, and likely somewhat limited.

October is less busy than Christmas, because everything is, but just be aware that October isn't a "light crowd" season.

Between F&W and Halloween, that is a pretty tight week to try and find discounts but you should really enjoy it. Just keep your eye out and keep check back, as soon as one is announced it will show up on the boards.

thanks-we did Halloween years ago. I think back in 99-still thinking on this, was really hoping to maybe pull it off and surprise my dh(I can never surprise him completely) haven't flown in years, but will be trying to fly as well-if I can get it all planned/paid-then I will spring it on him. our anniversary is the 29th, so I guess if it works out great, if not I may look and see how it would be flying out the first week of November...thanks for the info-even a room discount would be great then I may even splurge for the polly(my fav)

Once you move into early November, you do run into Jersey Week. Rates go UP for that.

Late August-September 21 is Value, rate-wise. Then it goes to Regular 2, which is higher. Columbus Day embraces a holiday rate, of course, then the 15th to November 2 is Fall, which is lower than Regular 2. Jersey Week bumps up two pricing tiers to Regular (which is higher than Regular 2).

So 10/15-11/2 is some of the best pricing of that period, but the parks and resorts are quite busy these days do they don't discount heavily.

We've managed to get great rates at the Swalphin for F&W several times. Can't beat the location and get deluxe accommodations (even with fees and transport) for moderate prices.
