Where to split stay @ Christmas for 1st timer?

Need opinions on where to take my man for his first time to WDW! He's a Texas high school football coach/ cowboy - it's taken my DD (13) & me 7 long years to talk him into going, so this may be his 1 & only visit ! We'll be going over our Christmas break for probably 8 nights, so I'd like to split our stay between 2 resorts @ 4 nights each. I'm thinking WL or POR (depending on what rate we can get) for 1, but can't decide on the other. I have an AP, and my DD & I have been 20 + times, & love to split our stays. Please help!

I would probably pick WL and an Epcot resort and would try Swan or Dolphin to get a good rate. Epcot is great at Christmas and the ability to walk home is priceless. I loved the Candlelight Processional at Epcot-the dinner package is worth the price to get a seat. And they also have Santas from different countries in the World Showcase. The lights between World Showcase and Future World (is that called International bridge or something) are beautiful.

MVMCP at MK is great fun too-that's why I'd choose WL.

Have a great trip. I'm trying to convert my DH too! I think spoiling him with concierge has helped!

I vote for the Swan. I love the AKL too. If he enjoys animals, he may enjoy AKL savannah view room. Let us know what you decide and if you get your DBF converted into a Disney fan. Have a great trip.

Any more suggestions? He'll be my DH by this trip!!! Out of YC/BC/BWI, what would be best for a guy like him? I'd rather not do Dolphin or Swan, so we can just charge everything on our room cards... Are AKL & WL different enough to do both? Help!
