They will all be very crowded. I was at Epcot For the Millenium. They closed the parks to anyone not staying on property that year very early in the day. Decide which park you will get the most enjoyment out of that day. MK is the place for kids but it depends on what your's like the most. I think from what I've heard that MGM is good for the Teenagers for New Year's Eve, they've had live bands in past years. Plan to get to whichever park you choose very early that day and be prepared to spend the day.
Yes, you need to pick a park that interests you, get there early, and stay there. That is one of the busiest times of the year, but EPCOT is supposed to be a blast!
We stayed clear of the parks in 1997, we hung by the pool, relaxed took a nap and then for midnight we had rented a pontoon boat from WL and watched the fireworks and sipped champagne. It was our own private celebration, just DW and I and our boat driver, oh yeah 1500 people standing on the dock at the GF.
Just a suggestion, but we tried desparately to stay away from the parks and still have a great time on NY Eve. This was found for us, at the Boardwalk....Good time and was family oriented......Can still see the fireworks from Epcot, have a nice dinner.... They have a DJ and all the kids have a great time dancing in the New Year......if you let them stay up that late.....
