Any tips on where to sit, when to grab a spot for the parade and Wishes? If we sit behind the castle, will we see and hear everything? How early do we get there? And if me and DD "save" our piece of curb and let DD and DS get us a snack or do one last ride, do other folks get angry? I was thinking about taking one of those little waterproof picnic blankets and laying it down so we could make sure to save 4 spots....but don't want to make anybody mad. thanks!

We got a bench infront of the castle, over by the statue of Walt -Mickey. It was perfect. Tink fly to the right of us, and it blew my kids out of the water. I KNEW she was going to fly,but it was one of those "magical moments" I wanted to see their faces. You have to get the bench early, there are several right there. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm trying to place the location in my head....are you far enough away from the castle to be able to see the fireworks without straining to look up? and the parade goes right by there too?

I think there is currently construction around the statues of Walt and Mickey. At least when we were there in January there was a green wall around that area, and it was being completely renovated.

We always sit on the brick wall in front of the covered porch by Diamond Horseshoe Saloon for the parade. You're not in the front row, but it's easy to just stand up when the parade rolls by.

Then we stroll over and stand in the middle of Main Street in front of the bakery to watch Wishes. The fireworks for Wishes are sort of symmetrical on both sides of the castle. We tried watching from the Tomorrowland bridge one night and it just wasn't as good as a straight-on view from Main Street.

The whole area around Walt's statue was walled off this weekend :( made it really hard to get around. We didn't even stay for fireworks/parades, it was a wall of people entering the MK on both Friday and Saturday by noon time! :earseek: We left each day and went to EPCOT, which was also busy on Saturday. DH got a FP for Test track at 1:30 it had a ride time of 5:30 on it!

we watched Wishes from in front of Splash Mountain. The fireworks were so close, but it was better watched in front of the castle to have the intended perspective.

It's fabulous!

I vote for the bridge in TomorrowLand. It gives a great view of the fireworks. :wave2:
