I was going to eat dinner at the trattoria to see the EEP and the family thinks them menu looks too boring , so I guess we will see the parade old school stlye and get a spot on the curb. How early should we stake it out and how crowded does it get? Any tips on a best place? Also we will be there June 5-9 I am guessing Friday is my best bet crowd wise , I am not concerned with running to DL to catch fireworks or anything else I really want to enjoy the EEP. Thanks!

Even if you aren't going to go to DL after, I personally would still probably sit at the start of the parade, which means over around Jumpin Jellyfish. There are benches out there, and the people on the benches when I went looked quite comfy! :)

I don't know when to go over to snag the benches, though, especially at a busier time than I went (late Jan). :)

We went for the AP preview of the Play Parade, and basically walked up to a bench, sat down, and it started. DCA is so big, it doesn't seem crowded on the walkways. We sat over by Golden Dreams so that when the parade passes us, we could scoot out the back way by GRR, and avoid the parade traffic. We beat the parade to the front gates. It worked well :)
