I have a short trip planned in the next couple of weeks to go to mnsshp and universal studios. Where are some good places, not too far away to get a run in?

Map My Run is my favorite place to find routes when I travel. Enter the location and a rough distance and it gives you all sorts of options to choose from, and will send the route to the app on your phone so you can just open it and follow along. It helped me find a 20 mile route in Sydney, Aus while I was going to be there for work! (I got a little lost, but I figured it was all part of the tourist thing.)
