Where to purchase Magic bands

Going on our first trip since magic bands aren’t included. Wondering where we can purchase magic bands besides online in advance since selection is so limited. We are in Canada so we can’t get them shipped from shopDisney either. Will I be able to find some to purchase when we arrive? Staying at Beach Club, having a pool day the first day so won’t need them right away.

Resort gift shops will have some. Park gift shops typically have more.

Someone posted on another thread that Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs had the best selection when they were at WDW recently. Otherwise, as @kes601 noted, the gift shops at the resorts and parks will have a selection.

OP, without even entering a park you can look in BC gift shop, YC gift shop and the gift shop on the BoardWalk. It's possible that Swan and Dolphin gift shops also have them, but I'm not sure. PP also mentioned Disney Springs.

You actually might want them for your first day, because if you plan to go to Stormalong Bay pool at YC/BC, you need to show proof that you are staying at the hotel in order to enter the pool area. If you have a Magic Band, you can use it to prove you are staying there, then keep it on while you swim and also use it to unlock your room door after you swim. A key card or your phone will do those things also, but you will have to put them somewhere while you are in the pool.

I meant the magic band would be easier to use for initial verification at the pool. Maybe i wasn't clear.

Doesn't matter at SSR - they are too lazy to let you get them to activate despite nobody waiting in line. They will just give you a plastic card.
