where to park, staying offsite

This is my first time ever staying offsite. I'm only planning two days in the Disney parks so went in between Disney and Universal. My question is: On the day we're going to the Magic Kingdom, I plan to go to the Contemporary for breakfast. I would like to get there before the park opens. I also have reservations for the California Grill that night. I don't believe I can park at the Contemporary for breakfast and leave the car until after dinner. I don't have seating for breakfast as we're planning on the Concourse for Sticky Micky's and omelettes. Any suggestions?

Park in the MK parking lot and take a resort monorail to the Contemporary.

Does the resort monorail run earlier than the parks open. I'd love to finish breakfast by park opening.

You can leave your car at the Contemporary all day if you're willing to pay for the $6 (+ tip) valet parking.

Yes, the resort monorail starts running earlier than the MK opens. It starts at 7 am and continues until 11 pm or 2 hours after the MK closes, whichever is later.

If you need to get to the CR earlier than 7:20 am or so, my advice would be to park at the CR for breakfast and then move your car to the TTC afterwards.

Thanks everyone. I like both ideas and will show this to my husband as he'll be doing the driving. I hate to break rules, so it is okay to leave the car all day in valet parking. It probably would cost the same as paying for parking at the MK. I understand that's $8 now anyway. We'll be dining there one week from today. My husband has been dreaming of Sticky Micky's for breakfast, as we stayed at the Contemporary last time and ate at the Concourse about 4 times. I've been dreaming of that dessert from California Grill. The baked chocolate banana something with rich chocolate inside and white chocolate ice cream. Yum
