Where to Look for DVC Points to Buy?

Someone suggested for a family a 5 that buying DVC points might be an option? How do you do this - is this like on EBay (i've seen weeks for sale)?

I'm not sure how to look and where these places even are on Disney property? Can you do the meal plan, get your tickets, magical express or is this all separate?

I like the convience of the Magic Your Way pkg...just not super thrilled with hotel choice for 5 at moderate level. Since no one has stayed at these new suites at ASM it makes me nervous...and deluxe is too much$.

Does anyone else think that buying these points is the way to go? Any thoughts would much appreciated.

The on-site DVC resorts are:

Old Key West
Saratoga Springs Resort
Boardwalk Villas
Beach Club Villas
Villas at Wilderness Lodge

You can use Magical Express with DVC. You can purchase the Dining Plan through DVC. You cannot purchase park tickets unfortunately. You're on your own for that one.

You can rent points through any member that has them available to offer.

Pop down into the DVC boards. Once you're there, there's a link at the top of the page that shows how much each type of room costs in points for the various seasons.

What you actually want to do is rent a reservation from a DVC member. If you want to buy points, you will be purchasing Disney's version of a timeshare. In other words, real estate.
