Where to have dinner for 3rd birthday?

We will be arriving the afternoon before DS b-day, and I was thinking of having dinner at Rainforest Cafe, DS really likes it, but we have been there several times before. Is Goofy's Kitchen the only character dinner? We have only had breakfast there. Any other suggestions? We are staying at DLH and are not going into the parks Sat night (we have So Cal pass). We will have our car if there are any off-site places that would be nice. How far away is the Medeval Times dinner show? Has anyone gone with a 3 yr old?

You might think about Ariels Grotto over at DCA. My 3 1/2 year old REALLY loves Ariel and you get to meet her in the lobby. The food is pretty good and not too expensive. (Certain AP's get a discount)

Yeah my ds (who will be 3 in May) loves Ariels Grotto for dinner - the character interaction is great (e-mail me and I can send you a link to my homepage with some pics if you want) and they do the birthday buckets there too! I prefer it over Goofy's great views of PP area and the food is decent. A very fun and festive atmosphere!

Goofys is probably your best out of park bet for a character meal.

Rainforest is great and my 8 year olds favorite. Most little ones I see are OK with it.

I think Medevil Times is "too old" for your little one, especially as a birthday experience. I saw many little ones with parents escorting them out, particularly during the pyrotechnics.

Have fun and when you go to the parks don't forget aboout the Birthday Celebration in DL at the Plaza Inn. Also all the folks wearing DL Birthday badges were getting their names anounced at the rides...
