We're taking our daughter to DL for her 3rd birthday. She's a huge Stitch fan so we're doing the breakfast but where would be a good place to have cake in the evening? We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel and would welcome some great ideas.

Try this one:

We did the Pat E Cake birthday party (Mickey & Minnie came to meet & greet). It's $10 per person and everyone gets a frost your own cake (white cake about 7 inch round), w/ 3 colored frostings (bring lots of wipes) and 3 other candy toppings.

And don't forget to get an "It's my birthday" pin at City Hall and to get your free bag of tortillas in DCA at the Mission Tortilla Factory.

2 years ago we went to breakfast at Storyteller's Cafe in GCH for a bday party. They brought a large slice of cake to the bday girl. They also had a chocolate cake on the buffet.

oooh when I was there a couple of weeks ago, my dd, gd, myself and eatmypixiedust went to Goofy's Kitchen and someone was having a party there...you should have SEEN the cake they had made for that child...it was gorgeous....Im sure that was a VERY expensive cake but they do bring cake out for the bday child with a candle and come sing with some of the characters and have everybody join in:goodvibes so that may be an idea

Any of the character meals will bring out a small dessert with a candle and sing Happy Birthday for no charge. You can also purchase a birthday bucket, they have girl ones and boy ones. I think they are either $20 or $25 and include some stickers, a pin and a few other little things in a very cute, keepable bucket. It also has a small individual cake on top with Mickey image on it. The Pat E. Cake party at the Plaza Inn is very fun, your 3 yo would be the perfect age. Minnie and Mickey almost always make an appearance. Its actually not a bad deal since each guest gets a small cake to decorate as well as punch to drink in a keepsake cup for around $10. Cheap for Disneyland! Like the previous poster, I have seen elaborate and lovely cakes at many of the character meals. You could ask them at Disney Dining (714-781-3463) how to go about ordering one of those. They can deliver them to the room as well. And be sure and call the DLH before your visit and tell them its your daughter's bday. They will have something for her. Once my daughter got a balloon and an autographed picture from Minnie. The next year she got the same type of autograph photo, several balloons, a goodie bag for her and my son and then when we got to the room there was a plate of four Mickey Rice Krispy treats and some foil wrapped chocolates. That night I think we got pixie dusted by a very sweet and maybe somewhat bored cm! If when you check in they don't have anything, remind them again and they will get something together (this is what happened with my brother, they had forgotten but a reminder later each of his twins had something).

Good luck, Disneyland is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll check into Goofy's Kitchen for dinner one night.
