We'll be at WDW on Ney Years Eve and am wondering if there is anything to do or if anything is open that night? Do they do a fireworks show? If so, which park? Crowds should be pretty light, yes?

on the 30th go to Mk cus they'll show their New Years fireworks show. For the 31st go to dhs because their fireworks show is awesome and mulch sweat and shears perform while the fireworks go off

Assuming there is some sarcasm about the crowds being light. I have never been on NYE, but I will one of these days. Fairly certain that is one of the busiest days of the year and they usually go into the phased closure. As the PP mentioned, they do show fireworks dec 30th and then you can go to HS or Epcot instead.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: At Animal Kingdom maybe. At all of the other parks the crowd levels will be cranked up to 11. If you're an onsite guest spending the day at AK then hopping over to another park (where you've made FP+) for the evening can be a good plan. I agree with the previous poster that you should hit the MK Dec. 30 for the "dress rehearsal". For NYE, Epcot's midnight finale is also awesome. I saw it from Mexico so I also saw the top of DHS fireworks in the distance.

When we went we just decided to spend the whole day at EPCOT. It was super fun. They had dance parties and even a rave in World Showcase and lots of activities. Then they gave out hats and horns and the fireworks/Illuminations was different than usual and so fun.

It gets extremely crowded

We went to AK 2 years ago right at 8am and plan to do the same again this year. We left right around noon and it was getting crazy. They told us all the other parks were full, but we had already planned on retiring to the resort for the rest of the day. We did go to MK on the 30th and it was awesome! We watched the Holiday Wishes with the kids early and then took them to the resort. My parents watched them and we returned to watch the NYW fireworks at the Poly with some Lapu Lapus.pixiedust:

Sounds amazing! This is where I would like to be if I could be at DW for NYE. :yay:
