What are your opinions? We have tried the Yachtsmen Steakhouse and loved it, we went to Boma, (not our fav.) and we have been to The Coral Reef but other than that we haven't tried any other really fancy meals. V&A is out of the question and NO Character meals, just DH and myself for my 25th birthday. Yay! Where would you go?

Todd English's bluezoo at the Dolphin or Wolfgang Puck's in DtD is what I would pick. It's so hard to go to those places with little ones, so if it were just adults, that's what I would pick.

california grill for a special celebration
artist point would be me second choice

I'd suggest Jiko. Very classy, good wine list, excellent food, many choices.

We've had several great meals (food & service) at Flying Fish, Jiko, and Artist Point. We had good food but so-so service at the Yachtsman, but felt that we could grill a steak just as easily as they could, so it wasn't worth the time & money to go back there anyway. We had OK food and terrible service at California Grill, but so many others rave about it we're going to give it another try next trip (which happens to be soon for MY birthday, so I'd better figure out where I'm going!)

We had a wonderful dinner at Artist's Point, great food and atmosphere so I would recommend there also the California Grill was nice (but noisy!) an you can see the fireworks during dinner.

I just had my birthday celebration at Yachtman Steakhouse and it was wonderful. But .. other suggestions since you have been there..

Jiko, Flying Fish, Calif Grill..

You would not go wrong with any of these choices.

Steak is a special occassion for us. We had a great steak dinner at Le Cellier, but we had an even better one without kids at Shula's. In fact, Shula's doesn't really serve kids so now would be a great time to go!

I vote for Artist Pointe or LeCellier from my experience.

I'm going for my dinner in April and was thinking of Narcoose but I have never been there. It's just a thought. I think it looks pretty there.

Enjoy your dinner.

I would have to say Wolfgang Puck upstairs dinning room, Hollywood Brown Derby or Artist Point. Went to Wolfgang Pucks for our Anniversary and it was wonderful. Definately let them know ahead of time that it's for a birthday. When I made the ressies for Wolfgang they asked me if I was celebrating anything and I said yes our Anniversary. For dessert they brought us out a huge plate with different chocolate desserts for two. And then they wrote Happy Anniversary around the plate in chocolate. While we were at Artist Point the waitress asked if we were in Disney for any reason (cuz it was just the two of us, we had talked about our kids) and we said Anniversary, they brought us a huge plate of different desserts with the writing on the plate too!!! They do so much for people down there!! :rose:

We love the Maya Grill. Not very busy and the atmosphere is wonderful. They have done our Anniversary dinner and also a Birthday dinner and both were really wonderful with great dessert and a good wine list. The servers/wait staff are exceptional. We have stayed at CSR a couple of times over the years and a few of the waitstaff are still there so that should say something about the restaurant itself. :goodvibes
