Our kids are doing the Pirate Adventure Cruise out of Port Orleans Riverside, and DH and I would like to sneak away for a breakfast date while they're gone. We have roughly 90 minutes to get to where ever, eat, and get back to pick the kids up. We're also at the mercy of WDW transportation. Where would you recommend we could go for breakfast? We're open to pretty much anything as long as we can make it back to POR within 90 minutes. Do we have enough time to pop over to Poly for Kona breakfast?

I think your choices are either something at DTD or Boatwright's at Port Orleans. There is no way you will have time to eat anywhere else during the cruise and even DTD would have to be eating in 30 minutes or less. If you want a leisurely breakfast eat at Boatwright's. Earl of Sandwich at DTD does do great breakfast sandwiches however but even getting to DTD is a 20 minute trip each way so that only leaves you 50 minutes for you wait time for transportation and eating.

I think Poly might be pushing it a little and you'd probably spoil that time away with worrying over whether you can get back in time.

POR has Boatrights right there or you could get QS and to outside somewhere to enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

Wolfgang Puck Express over at DTD serves breakfast. You can catch the boat or bus from POR and it's close, so you'd know how much time you have.

If you're willing to splurge on a taxi, you could go just about anywhere you want.

It doesn't look like Boatwright's is open for breakfast. It only lists dinner times and menu on Disney's site. :( It looks like DTD is pretty much our only option, no?

Just so I know what my options are, how much would a taxi from POR to Poly run and how long would it take to get there? If the cruise embarks at 9am, would a 9:30am ADR at Kona be feasible by taxi?

Sorry about Boatwrights. It looks like there are tables outside of the Rivermill and I know there are benches along the river if you decide just to grab something from the QS.

As to the taxi timetable, I'd head over to the Transportation Board and ask over there.

Thank you so very much for your help!
