Hello all!
Well i'm in a little dilemma here... where should DBF and I eat for dinner on our first night? Now, here are the restrictions:

1) Can't be inside any of the parks
2) Good selections of food... the only meat i eat is seafood products and DBF likes everything but excessive veggies.
3) Meal with 2 entrees, maybe 1 appetizer or dessert, 2 drinks OR buffet OR family style has to be under 65 bucks in total. We pay OP and dont feel like paying TOO much for a meal, ya know?

Yeah... sorry about the restrictions! Can anyone help me out?

How about Cape May Cafe's Clambake buffet at the Beach Club? - wide variety, some seafood, nice location where you can walk over to the boardwalk afterwards (peek into Epcot) and should be under your amount with tip.

How about Raglan Road in DTD?! Wonderful food, service and atmosphere! Here is a link to their dinner menu http://www.allears.net/menu/menu_rag.htm :thumbsup2 An early Dinner ADR will be a relaxing, kick back experience. A late Dinner ADR will put you in the midst of the live entertainment that starts about 9ish. Both times make RR a great place to be!

Chef Mickeys? I realize it is a character meal... but they have a great selection of food... not overly expensive and what says 'welcome to Disney" better then having dinner with Mickey!

In the Contemporary. Take the monorail!

thank you all for the suggestions! any more??

so far i'm leaning towards raglan road... but does anyone know what sides (if any) the "Salmon of Knowledge" comes with? That is SO right up boyfriend's alley!

any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated:upsidedow

I think it might change. I got the Stew and it came with Pan Fried green beans while my husband got the sirlion which came with peas.

Sorry, can't remember just what sides we got with the salmon-just remember that the salmon was fantastic! Yet we found Raglan Road to be very easy going when it came to substituing side dishes. Just, in our opinion, stay away from the Shepard's Pie-blah and dry! The "appetizers for sharing" are truly enough for two people-and save room for Ger's Bread & Butter pudding for dessert!! :thumbsup2

I like Raglan Road.

My family's tradition is to go to 'Ohana the first night. It's great food family style. As soon as you sit you already have food coming to you. It's a real relaxed setting & you have a great view of the castle. Also, we usually go during the fireworks & so it's like an indoor showing, because they pipe in the Wishes soundtrack. :cloud9:

Another vote for Raglan Road. Great meal with great atmosphere, and if you get the Bread and Butter Pudding for dessert, there's no way you're not going to leave happy.

I say anything that suits your fancy in DTD. We are planning to hit Planet Hollywood. I suggest DTD the first night because then you can shop and pick out your favorite hat or t-shirt to wear all during your vacation.

Raglan Road was my first night at Disney dinner on October 11th, and it was also the first time trying the food. It was pretty fantastic. I posted some somewhat blurry (but the dessert came out fantastic) pics on my trip report (linked below). I didn't try the salmon, but the other dishes we had we enjoyed.

The Ger's Bread and Butter pudding was the most seen item brought out to the tables. It's really that popular and that good. :cloud9: And I'm normally a chocolate dessert person!

Another vote for Raglin Road. :)
We are going there our first night.
And looking forward to trying the cider. Yum.;)

Bomas... There is so much variety there. The lodge is just beautiful. It is a must for us on every trip!
