We're staying at the Poly in May and planning our one child-free night. Would like to check out a couple of the monorail resorts and stop for a drink or two. Getting DH to wear anything other than T-shirts and shorts while on vacation isn't worth the trouble. Any suggestions for GF or CR? The bar at the Wave looks nice. Could we go there in casual attire?

You can go to any of them in casual attire. Mizners Lounge at the GF is one of my favorites on the monorail because of the live music.

We love the Outer Rim at the Contemporary and the Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge. Both are casual and they giant olives in their Bloody Marys!

My favorite is actually Narcoossee's at the GF. They recommend fancier attire I believe, but if you say that you are only coming in for a drink I wouldn't think they would mind.

As Pakey says, you can go to any of them in casual attire.
The bar at Citricos is one we like and also California grill. But getting in there isn't easy, especially anywhere naer fireworks time.

The small bars in Citricos and Narcoosee's are two of my favorites in WDW. The bartenders take good care of you.

I agree...I really liked Mizners. Also, you wouldn't look funny whether you were dressed for V&A or just coming from a park...it was a good mix of people.

The bar at Contemporary is nice if it is earlier in the evening. Once the Chef Mickey crowd gets large it starts to get a little crazy.

I like Outer Rim and Tambu Lounge but they both get crazy with Chef Mickey's and Ohana crowds.

Some other great options are The Wave lounge downstairs at the Contemporary (funky ambient blue lighting, couches, and more quiet atmosphere) and the Territory Lounge at WL.

Tambu Lounge at the Poly is great! They have really good chicken lettuce wraps - a meal in themselves, and sooooo good.
