Where to go first?

We have 3 days at Disney before our cruise, what park to most people visit first after their arrival? We will probably be arriving at our hotel around 12:00. We have the park hopper...

Head for MK if I was you and what time you would get to a park I would head for Epcot.

I usually like to go to MK on my first day. I love to ride my favorite rides as a way to begin my vacation

We usually start at Epcot for a number of reasons:

- It terms of overall thrills and excitement, it's the least interesting of the parks in our opinion. After going to one of the other parks, we never seem to get as much enjoyment out of Epcot.

- Much of the year it's open the latest.

- Illuminations is a great way to end your first day.

- For us, Epcot really is a half-day park.

Again, just my opinion. I'm aware that many have a completely different take on Epcot--saying that it's a "half-day park" is blasphemy. But we just don't feel compelled to experience everything at Epcot during each trip. We hit the highlights and are very happy with whatever we accomplish.

I think this is where we will go the first day, before the F&W crowd arrives on Saturday.

Epcot or MK depending on the individuals in your party.

I would not do AK it is a morning park.

I would do MK first if your first day is any day but Saturday. Definitely stay away from MK on Saturday. I actually like Epcot a little later in my trip because it is so much more laid back than the other parks, especially in World Showcase. I find WS to be a nice little break from the hustle and bustle of the other parks. Everyone in my family is so excited on the first day that we want to go where the action is. If you can't make it to MK, I would recommend MGM.

Another possibility since you have a PH is to do MK or MGM and then hop on over to Epcot for the evening since World Showcase is usually open later.

I love going to the Magic Kingdom first. It just feels like 'home', you know?

and we always ride Pirates of the Caribbean first...kinda like our tradition.

The one year we arrived around noon, we headed directly to Animal Kingdom. For starters, we'd never been there before so it was new. It was also a half day park in my opinion. This year, we inted to head directly to MK. I always want to hold off on going, but something compulsive in me makes me go there first (exept for the last one, as I mentioned).
