Where to get Rental car at WDW?

We are going to visit relatives over on the west coast and will be flying out of Tampa. We are using DME when we fly into Orlando and only need a car when we are ready to leave Disney for the rest of our trip and returning the car to Tampa. What are the easiest companies to rent from near Disney and how to get from my Hotel CSR to the rental car company? I am also trying to rent from a company that is on-site at Tampa. The ones I know for sure there are: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty, Enterprise. Thanks for your help. I know this is a trickier set-up.

Almost all of the rental car companies have locations in WDW. Alamo/National are at WDW Car Care the others are at DTD hotels. Check your favorite company online.

Anyone else have any input for me? I really am trying to figure out which company and how I get from my hotel to the rental agency?

Actually, the National/Alamo desk is in the lobby of the Dolphin. It's really easy to get to from either Epcot and/or MGM by walking or taking the Friendship boats.

I usually make my reservation ahead of time on National's website. Then I take a break from the parks and head to the Dolphin (this desk closes at 4pm). After getting the paperwork done, I get in my car and head back to my resort.

Alamo/National at the car care center has a free shuttle from/to each Disney Resort . Just call the day before your rental pickup to request transportation. It worked out great for us on our last trip.
