Where to get pieces of the park?

I read all kinds of articles around the internet and have seen over the past few years how Disney treats its retired items as pretty much worthless. For example, the Wilderness Railroad cars and the submarines from 10k Leagues.

Now, being 23 years old, i don't exactly have the funds to purchase a railroad car.

However, I am a carpenter and I love doing all kinds of restoration projects. So doing something like remodeling a car from the Wilderness Railroad would just be a dream to me. My wife and I are obsessed with Disney, and to have a piece of the parks would be awesome.

Does anyone know of a website or something that sells items disney deems to be worthless scrapyard junk (AKA: worn out pieces of rides, etc) , or do you just have to get lucky on ebay?

I agree with the PP, check out Themeparkconnections.com. They're always listing stuff on eBay, and have an open-to-the-public warehouse of stuff.

Regarding the FWRR Coaches...I'm not sure but I think all of them have been accounted for in one way or another. If you post or search on www.burnsland.com/disneyrailroads, they'll have the info. There's also a really good book called "Steel Wheels on Steel Rails" that delves into the whole rise and demise of the Fort Wilderness Railroad.
