Where to find the best counter service Chicken Caesar Salads?

We're planning a trip for next summer. No dining plan (staying off site) so we'll mostly be eating counter service for lunch and table service or off site for dinner. Dh is kind of a picky eater and I'm not sure he'll be happy with the wheat buns. He complains when I buy them at home and ends up not eating most of the bun. Plus he tries to watch his carb intake. But he loves Caesar Salads so I can see him eating those if he has a choice. Can anyone recommend which counter service restaurants have the best?

Not a Caesar, but Columbia Harbor House has a really good crispy chicken salad.

I would go highly recommend the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary because they always make their Salads fresh each time you order one, so they are not pre-made and kept inside a fridge. You also have the option of ordering it with the dressing tossed in or on the side, personally I always get it tossed in.

I have gotten the Caesar at Fairfax Fare at Studios and it was very good as well as at the Village Haus at MK. I always ask for mine with the dressing on the side if it doesn't already come that way. They can do it for you if you ask.

Contempo Cafe and Sunshine Seasons for me.

For the low-carb person, at Pecos Bills it's easy to get the burger, then toss teh bun when you get to the toppings bar. Add lots of lettuce, tomato, and cheese to the plate and you've practically got yourself a salad, just with hamburger instead of chicken.

I know you said counter service, but the 50's Prime Time Cafe has a fabulous chicken caesar at counter service price.

Fairfax Fare doesn't have a caesar salad, but they do have a really yummy salad w/ chili, pico de gallo, roasted corn, cheese, & other tasty ingredients. Unless is was a short trial salad recently, they haven't one on their menu for a while.

OP, I also vote for the caesar at Sunshine Seasons. It's fresh & delicious!

I had a lot of Caesars whilst at WDW and I have to say the best by far was the chicken caesar at CS Mara at AKL. So good, I have probably had that about 15 times and it was good every time.

Count me as another vote for Sunshine Seasons. They make a batch of Caesar salad in a very large bowl and they do this where you can see them preparing it. They make a lot of those big bowls everyday.

I love these salads and I ate quite a few a couple weeks on a trip to WDW. The worst one I had was at Pecos Bill's. It wasn't bad, but all the others were so much better. You would think they'd all be the same thing but they weren't.

I also like the BBQ chicken salad at Flame Tree. Very yummy. Thinly sliced pieces of chicken, not strips or chucks of chicken. Or not the last time I had one which was probably January '10.

The Ceasar salads are identical at most of the CS places. I think they put way to much dressing on them, so if you're not a fan of that, be sure to ask for it on the side.

I think Sunshine Seasons has a different one from the standard Disney Ceasar, but I haven't seen it myself.

Loving this thread. Caesar Salads are my thing! And the info here is very informative. Personally, I've only tried the one at Sunshine Seasons. It was quite good! Will probably try more during our next visit. We're hoping for a fab room discount. If that doesn't materialize, hopefully FD will!
