Where to find the $1.00 ponchos??

I have read about them but don't know where to find them. We are going in Dec and would love to buy a bunch so we don't get wet on Splash AND not feel guilty about chuckin' em out.

Also are they thinner than the ones purchased in WDW....I hope so this way I can pack a few in my pouch.

Dollar Tree has ponchos that are 2/$1.00. That's what we carried with us last year b/c they are very small and compact. Also, check Wal-Mart or Target in the camping section.

Try a dollar store. Dollar tree has them 2 for 1.00. They are very thin.

When we went last year it rained one day we were going to the parks so we stopped at wal-mart in Orlando and bought ponchos..I got a disney princess one and he got a spongebob one well it stopped raining so we never took them out of the package so we have them for this year! So if you get a chance to stop at wal-mart down there they have cute ones for about 2.00!

I have found them in the Camping section at Walmart and the the sports stores like Sports Authority and Academy.

For me, the best thing about the ponchos sold at Dollar Tree is that at $.50 each, you don't have to re-use them (if you don't want to).

And because they are so thin, they are easy to pack.

Thanks again! I went to the Dollar store and I got 12 of them for $6.00 - less than the price of 1 adult poncho at WDW. They are really, really thin, which is perfect, I can easily pack them in my bag. There's nothing worse than getting wet and/or sitting on a wet seat on Splash in the cooler months.

Funny thing is, those .50 cent ponchos are sturdy! You can shake them out and hang them on a hanger to dry, roll them tightly up and put them in a sandwich size ziplock and they are good as new!

thank god for this thread. ponchos were on my shopping list when I went to target last week and I totaly forgot to pick some up. If i hadn't seen this I would never have remembered to get them. Man I hope it doesn't raint too much while i'm there.

I bought yellow ponchos this year, and the color bled onto my clothes. So try to get clear ones!

Don't throw them away after you use them, give them to someone standing in line, that's what we do !!!!
